Super cropping. Pinching the main stems and bending 90 degrees down, make sure you do a good job of pinching and bending or they will be up the next day. Also you could try tying them down.

Peace

Thanks.for the tips anyone think itsbpossabile me getting 3oz a plant

The plant in the pic I posted yielded 8 dry oz. It was 18 inches tall when I flipped to 12/12.

Home made DWC, PBP nutrients, no additives, 1000 watt HPS

3 oz is easily possible, but it depends on your setup, strain, veg time and environment. And maybe a little luck.

I have 4 under 2 x 600w useing ionic bloom and bloombastic they were acout 20inches wen flipped in a makeshift ten pleny air intape and out watered once daily but burnt the tops on two of them 2weeks ago planning on flowering for about 7 weeks.

?

?

The first picture is after i bent the main cola so it wasent to close to the light and the second is my repair job on the broken branch...

welcome to Icmag buddy!

When bending tops - you can just bend the top and you don't need to tape it or anything. Just be sure not to bend to the point the fibers are tearing apart. and if its drooping/pointing down thats okay - like said before - it'll repair and prop it self up. Plus later the weight of hte bud will keep it bent. Also if you want to tie down the tops - they'll naturally bend and you can examine the point of the bend to see what it looks like. Tying them down would be a cool way of adding more control and letting the light reach the lower buds.

Regarding your branch repair job - I would tie that branch onto the main stalk and other branches as another way of securing it. This way the weight of the branch won't be putting as much pressure on the tape and forcing it to come apart and possibly re-breaking.

Your plants are nice but your pictures sir - let me help you.

Before you upload your pictures. Use Windows picture viewer and use the rotate buttons. It'll rotate the picture for you - and then when you click the arrow to go to the next picture - it'll will automatically save the picture in the last rotated view you set.

If you are on a Mac, God bless your soul.

Cheers!

you should definitely top your plants early and at least twice, next time. You'll get bigger yields for sure. And why are you only running 4 plants under 2 - 600 watts??

I run 6 under 1-1000 usually. but you should probably do at least 4 per light unless ur vegging for a while. Just my opinion anyways. You want them close together, but not too close. Healthy plants will fill the extra spaces easily.

And if your lights are being cooled fast enough, you can grow your buds pretty close to the glass if need be.

Glass hoods and cooling tubes create hot spots with the light as well - mines obvious - right around the bulb.

Growing plants close to light is cool - if hte light is not too powerful.

That 1k in the picture before is burning up the chlorophyll in that cola getting closer and closer - thats why the leaves yellow - chlorophyll's pigment is green naturally so if the leaves are yellowing but just around the light - their too close. The buds will burn if their too close as well and that inhibits growth for a week on that area - just break the burnt stuff off and the plant will actually bounce back with new pistil formation.

Honestly tho - its not a big deal if you got your temps dialed in and if the plants are healthy and eating well. The rest of them will make up for the leaves lost up top but understand the phenomenon.

I use 2 600 watts in 6 inch cool tubes

My bitches are 8 inches away from teh cool tubes and they have the chlorophyll burn just on the fan leaves of the buds closest to the light - it kinda looks like senescence but if you look at leaves not so close to the light their dark green.

As for increasing yields brother many options.

Increasing PAR is a given - as well as sealing up and adding Co2. Good Genetics will always put out but if you want to increase your yield - I suggest you master your style and dial in your environment for the plants. Temps, Airflow, Medium, Nutes, yada yada just get into your groove and then you'll be ready for upgrades as they are needed and or earned.

I hope this helps you and you get what I mean :shucks:

Start reading threads here in the forums too - you can grow better bud than the guys spilling the beans!

:joint:

P.S. Pappy - nice grow!!! I grow ontop of carpet also - have any feedback on why the tarp? I need to replace the poly i used for flooring soon - and want to upgrade to something more rugged - long lasting - tear resistant and most important completely 100% water proof! Is the tarp temporary? :thank you::thank you:
