any yield results and bud shots?
I got my first LED a month or so back, i have yet to use it but I will soon.
Planning on end of Oct ill be able to switch over some plants I got vegging.

This is very cool. I don't have any LEDs but it might be fun at some point. I like seeing specific hardware and the associated results, as you said early on, there are a lot of people DIYing and being disappointed. While the lights are spendy today, the guess work has been removed.
I'm running all CFL right now, but would consider LED for a slightly larger cab. Nice thread.

thanks guys, the plants came down yesterday at just over 9 weeks, im very pleased with the results so far. liiks like a decent harvest and the buds got to a decent size in the end for saying there was quite a few on each plant. the yield figures will take a week or two.

For me the Pinamite looks delicious. I hope you find the smell comes back out after a cure and that translates as a flavour in the smoke.

thanks oneshot, yeah hm the pineapple scent on the pinamite is amazing, very strong, with a bit of cleaner/solvent thrown in.
the pull was slightly less than i expected, 48g for the pinamite and 38g for the amnesia.
so we got 86g just over 3 oz.... and 0.86 gpw which is respectable and i think i could improve on that a bit as it was the first time i ran both of those cuts.
really impressed with the light, it runs pretty cool as well, the cab isnt very well cooled and ive had heat problems in there before.
i would have thought that, in a well vented cab, the version of this light with the 2x100W diodes would be a pretty serious proposition, but as can be seem the 2x50W give s some great results. the quality looks amazing and the early smoke is pretty awesome.

Your 63 watt report has brought me to buy the same lamp.
I am very impressed by its performance and ease of use.
One question I would have however.
Is the quality of the new LED's that you used in this grow much better?

hi sota, sorry for the late reply, would say that this new sol2 lamp would be a great replacement for the 63W unit. its around the same size and will be brighter and give a bigger yield. also the spectrum will be a little better and flowering will start slightly faster.
those 63w units were very good lamps though!

pot size was 3-4 gallons, my advice is always to use pots as big as you can.
