USED TO USE BAGS OF PIGEON SHIT YEARS AGO, IT IS STILL WORKING IN PARTS OF GARDEN. ALWAYS USE BAGS OF CHOOK POOP IN GREEN HOUSE. NOTICED ITS BETTER FROM YOUR OWN CHOOKS THAN BUYING, TAKE SOME OF THE HEAT OUT AND SHE'S GOOD TUCKER.

I got a lot of chick poop in my soil mix this year there really taking off I find adding perlite really airs it out a lot

haven't yet worked out how to multi-quote ... I want to refer to Aussie's post about chook shit too ... and Noydie's post.

I agree an old chook pen would be a perfect place to grow ... as long as it was dug over pretty well. chook pens pack down hard.
so that was the link to Wombat's post and perlite too.

I also reckon Noydie's right about home grown shit being better than the bought stuff ... this is my experience. and pigeon shit is even better than chook poo, I reckon. grew a monster some years ago on some pigeon shit I scaped off the floor of an abandoned warehouse ... (took the plant early and got it out of there cos of a funny feeling I had ... and sergeant plod came next day!)

I 'm doin pretty well but something really horrible happened day before yesterday. See, I 've had one nostril that seemed to get blocked a lot and sometimes if I stuck my pinkie up there I could just feel something ... then next day it would be gone, so in the manner of rugged ozzie he-men I would forget about it.


but the day before yesterday I sneezed and out of my left nostril shot this lump of snot. and it lay there on the verandah like a small oyster. I say oyster because it was about 40mm long and 30 wide. and surprise surprise when I poked it, it was 'solid' like jelly is solid ... and it had a bloody part where it had been attached to inside my nose. so it wasn't snot, it was a polyp ... a benign growth that had been up my nose for years!

well I was revolted by myself, I can tell ya ... I handle shitty nappies REALLY well but I had to struggle to cope with this!

Sat Well to tell the honest truth I've been puffing on joints with traces of tobacco in them, it's been a very hard few weeks with my mate dying from cancer an we bury him today.
I'm putting on a patch this morning as the wake at the pub this arvo will be a true test of my will an strength to not be a smoker.
