PPK vert 4 plant 5 light grow show and DIY, 3400w, CO2

ok i lied. it wont be in the mail tomorrow. tomorrow is sunday and i am dumb. anyways. here are some quick updates as well as a Q for the PPK users out there. most of you dont normally change out your reservoirs that often but what do you do as your ppm's steadily increase? i checked mine tonight and i was in the low 2's. i topped off the res with ph'd RO water. i hope thats what i was supposed to do lol.

my RO system can no longer keep up at all. as of tomorrow i am gonna have to start lugging jugs to my spot until i can order a new one. i guess i just have to bite the bullet and drop the cash.

plants are still stretching. they will be nearing the ceiling in no time. they are starting to put on clumps of pistils and are looking super happy and healthy.

at this point im not worried about the stretch but if they continue on i will soon be out of headroom lol

ppks are the way to go it seems. i have not adjusted ph since i learned from the pros not to. all i do is dump in jacks and sit back and wish i had more head room lol. these are truly monsters. my biggest plant before these was a half pounder that i thought was huge lol. all i can say is im glad i bought my bonsai hero in a two pair set. i cant wait to test that bitch out! gonna set up a 6x6 tent in my living room just to trim with a buddy.

you are going to love your bonsai hero's, they cut your trim time down tremendously. with practice you can get pretty surgical with the things. I get done in two nights what used to take me the better part of a week. I'm a one man show, everything is done by me so these things have made my life so much easier.

Looks like they`re gonna do fine stretch-wise DH.....Not sure how to do it in a tent , but you`ll need chickenwire on the ceiling to tie up and open up the plants for better lumen penetration and airflow come late flower that`s comin soon......

Once they start swellin and suckin juice , guaranteed limbs will start snappin under their own weight , and it always happens at night/lights off cuz plants flower at night and pump resin during the day......and....

Getting inside and cleanin out the "innards" around the mainstem will help with airflow in late bloomage as well....It`s prolly too late to start cleanin out "sucker branches" off the main laterals , but it`s a learning process with big plants.....

Shit looks good with 34 watts per sq ft instead of 50 , so making sure all the insides of the plants receive ample light till end of cycle for max resin production and airflow is of paramount importance......anyways......Good luck and......

thanks guys. dhf, i trimmed a couple time but i can remove some more today. i had planned on raising the wire cages upwards for the support but that will only support the outer edges. i still have some netting i can stretch over them too, but i will try and get in there with some help and get some support grids on the ceiling.

im so glad i tried out this ppk thing! next run i am gonna get bigger and better fans and probably find a way to put the scrubbers in the corners of the tent so my exhaust tubes are a straight shot up into the attic for better efficiency. i think one more of the max fan 10's will be enough.

Use the hortinova netting , but that limit`s yas to not being able to inspect the insides in late bloomage for airborn nasties and such once they`re all wrapped......Gladta hear yas been takin care of the insides.....but....

Let`s not get ahead of ourselves.......Shit looks good Bro....Lumen penetration and airflow....and....

Always a learning curve with new setups till dialed.....and then.....

Everything else will fall into place with perfect environment......Pullin for yas....

thanks everyone. im super excited for a couple reasons. my trimmer came in early but i have nothing to trim for a couple weeks. soon i will have way too much to trim and hating existence lol. also my trees are starting to stack on their first real attempt at buds. shits blowing up in ppk land

the last pic is of my killingfields from S@nnies from seed. i lost all my moms from bugs. every single one of those are from seed and they were all fantastic. not one dud or shitty plant in the lot. im popping another pack to see what happens. they yielded better than anything ive ever had even under 600's. this just goes to show you can still kick some ass in horizontal if you got your shit down. this is an old grow BTW, just found the pics and brought back good memories

just popped 10 killingfields and 10 anesthesia. i think the anesthesia will be good for vert. supposed to be open and branchy. its afghani x skunk / herijuana. been wanting to do that one for a while now. my next order in a couple weeks will be wifi! cant wait to get those in the ground

wifi is straight fire, you'll be pleased as punch with that order. I was going to run my big ppk room full of wifi after the madness is harvested but I have all these seedlings(12 strains) I popped that need a home so I will probably just be filling in the gaps with wifi. plants are lookin good dh! after this seed run I hope to switch my big room to an x pattern grow

I used powdered Kool Bloom last run... didn't hurt... didn't help. In my old coco DTW Kool Bloom was amazing but I will be keeping it simple moving forward. My current run is simple and looks killer so I'm sold on "less is more".

thanks, i have some powdered big bud laying around and i think i might spike my jacks with it on my rockwool plants and see what happens. no way im adding an unknown to my ppk system this late in the game. its all going too awesome to fuck with.

seriously though, ppk and trees is the way to go. im impressed every time i look into that tent. the others just look so damn minuscule comparatively. a 12 plant limit no longer seems like a limit. it seems like a valid challenge i need to conquer. if i had three of these setups i would be set

A definite must for big plants IME is Botanicare`s "Silicablast" @ 5ml per gal start to finish for stemwall strength as well as a potassium supplement during flower....I think "protekt" is the same shit but not sure about concentrations.....as for boosters.....

NPK is NPK , and it ain`t rocket science to drop back levels of N and Micro`s after end of stretch while maintaining constant ppms/ec across the board by increasing bloom formula to compensate till end of cycle.....Trust me.......

Less is more.....Maintaining lower ppm constant levels start to finish will help dial your plants a LOT faster than shoving bloom boosters and other snake oils up their ass....anyways....

if im understanding you correctly i should cut the calnit out and just use the base 5-12-26 at the same EC of 1.2?
