AND gonna get some 2" pvc and cut about 1.5 inch sections to separate bottom from top buckets a lil, allow air down there....

i like the idea of plastic in there better than wood.

also, i took clones today, got a buncha flo clones going, plus topped alot of the seeds, taking the top as a clone; 11 Deadhead OGK f2 cuts, 2 flo ogs, 1 blu ox, 2 loud 7/8 sours, several bay 11's (4?), also some buddah's sister in the mix....

cracking more seeds ( i can't stop...)
4 selfed Bruce Banner #3's from a pal in boulder
20 drizella Bx's (to whoever asked why im not running any of my own gear... now i am)

yup pvc spacers inside an 2x4 on outside bottom

i would bet you're really gonna love that harlequin. yield is fantastic, she looks frosty, smells and tastes like berries.

IME, 2g smart pots (8" diameter) really maximized yield under 1kw lights if using a soil medium. you can cram 36 of em in a 4x4 space. 27.7g per plant will pull g/w.

what's your soil mix?

Finally getting around to an update.
I've raised ALL the inside buckets up 2 inches about using 4 inch diameter PVC cut into small lengths, placed inside flood bucket
underneath plant bucket.

picture.php

^ PVC Riser inside flood bucket

raised all buckets up about 1 inch on pieces of wood. buckets now are getting a complete drain, as well as having air directly available to the bottom each plant bucket.
also changed out my nutes and cleaned the system extra extra well.

picture.php

^^ definitely lost one plant in the buckets, all the rest just stunted, some purpling in the stems on a few of them, but all of them but this one are looking better since raising buckets/ changing nutes

Aside from fixing issues in the hydro bucket system... the tray of plants in amended soil are totally loving life...

picture.php

Most of the Flo's are over a foot tall, and FULL of branches, ready to be spread apart, I still need to acquire another 4x8 tray for these plants to expand into. Also the plants from seed are taking off nicely. Many off the seed plants had one clone taken from them, essentially they were topped and cloned from... a clone from the nicest looking Flo OG (pheno #1, by coincidence) made it, as well as several clones from deadhead og's

picture.php

^^ Flo OG pheno #1, about a week after being topped & cloned

Avi.. nice man nice just wondering.. are the DEADHEAD OG F2s from cali .. or from some1 else that used there deadhead og and made f2s?
According to the pack; the cali connect seeds were purchased from harborside health, grown out by "blasted genetics" and f2's were made, also by blasted.
they are f2's of cali connect deadhead og made by "blasted genetics".
I tend to believe whoever made these was in california, could be wrong tho.

also i changed the feeding timing in the bucket system so it feeds 5 times lites on zero times lites off, all good now... im hoping

also
cracked more seeds (help! i can't stop!) 12 or so drizella f2's that I made earlier this year, and some bruce banner #3 feminized selfed... those could be exciting.

last round of seeds are about 8 inches tall now, still in cups, dynasty des*tar, stag. lee's sweettooth #4 IBL x casey jones. ras richie jamaican (one of which has super wide leaves and huge serations... exciting).

today i transplanted a ton of clones into cups from rockwool, mostly flo, but also some cuts from the first round of seeds that rooted; flo og, deadhead og, blu ox, bay 11, 7/8 sour.

time to make some clones...
lots of cuts off unsexed plants from seeds, lots of work labeling each cut and each plant the cuts are from, each seed plant gets a number, corresponding clones get the same number.

^^
bucket system side of the room, still not looking tip top, we are definitely going to take some plants out of the system, the ones that look.... like shit. some of the plants stems turned purple during the stress, they are now greening back up on many of the purple stems... growing out fresh green growth. thanks again to arthritis sucks, square root grow bag, Mr. D, & everyone for the advice with this bucket system.
lower right corner of the pic, you can see my yogurt cup challenge plants.

Was gonna tell ya to cover those white buckets cause they will cause too much light to penetrate into the rhizosphere. If ya notice the black buckets flourishing compared to the white ones. White allows bad things to grow fast imho. Lookin good though on the blk buckets though. If ya gonna run this system again I would advise ya to run less per res. And try an get the updated buckets that have a slant on the drain bucket to completely drain the water. Yup, c.a.p. went an fixed the problem years after the sold tons of the system. I think its like 69 or 79 for a 6 bucket set. Im gonna run my system tweeked first then replace the buckets for flowering but use the others for veg still.

Diggin that flo, always wanted to run her.

ya i know about them black buckets being superior, gonna replace all the white ones after this run, i think... and some plants doing very well in the white buckets, can't really see the ones suffering in the black buckets cause they are in the back of the row on right side, but they are there too....
thanks for staying tuned AS & 4 helping me out!

i would bet you're really gonna love that harlequin. yield is fantastic, she looks frosty, smells and tastes like berries.
so far... you are 100% correct, im really loving how the harlequin is looking in veg! thick branches, quick growing, sturdy & uprite, nice node spacing, thick leaves:

Looking good, Avinash. Is Harlequin that high CBD plant? Does it have any THC in it? Not sure of the ratios.

:yeahthats
im also not sure of the ratios... altho:
i think harlequin maxes out around 12% CBD, whereas the sour tsunami (high cbd & my FAVORITE tasting herb for a long time) maxed around 8%. ( i may have that reversed, not sure)
not sure of the THC content but it is not one of those "no thc" strains... i've seen a few different people & places run the harlequin, and their finished products are visibly crystally, not like GSC or GG#4 of course, HA.

black vs white buckets is BS IMO. [/url]

:moon:

Your opinion is BS IMHO.:tiphat:

just tryin to make an observation off the pic view of what I could see. An black buckets ARE better, an with that being said im not saying white wont work but it leaves room for error more than not and with hydro u want darkness when it comes to the roots.

Grow on Avi, keep it green.
