Thank you everyone for the kind and honest opinions...
I didn't really think it would be the real deal, considering where I am... but ya never know...
It deff has a unique smell but not as "loud" (i hate that word) as you guys made it seem... it is somewhat of a soft, mellow scent, but it is there no doubt...
and taste is not insanely strong either...
it does have a nice frost to it (for being street weed) and a few color accents but I still think you guys are right...
still some good herb regardless...
times like these when I wish this shit wasn't illegal and we could all meet up and sample each other's herbs...

With regards to the forum cut of cookies: yep it's purplish if you take it out long enough. Also if the temps are a bit lower it'll tend to get more purple. That said, I've run it a few times and the most recent pull was on the greener end of the spectrum. First times I ran it, it was definitely different coloration. I can't say I really took excellent care of it this time however....kinda phoned it in.

theres also a few clubs in oakland that do not require CA medical cards, under something called "measure Z". i dont know the exact specifics, but i can refer you to a cafe that sometimes has cookies that you can just go up and buy without a card.

If I were going to base that answer on just the first picture you posted, I'd say "possibly". The remainder of the pictures show a slightly different structure to the buds that isn't consistent with the forum cut. The forum cut of GSC has much smaller nugs that are super dense. It seems like you're not going to get much off a plant, and then you weigh it.....and are frankly surprised by the heaviness.
The stuff is like dark matter...LMAO.
The other issue with pictures is just that.....it's just a picture. If the pile were in front of me and I could taste, smell and touch it'd be a whole different ball of wax.
All that said, none of this rules out you having an entirely different cut of GSC....nor does it completely exclude the possibility of the forum cut as well. It's just difficult to pin down without firsthand experience of the end product.
My boy got these about a year ago from a friend of a grower who said they were platinum cooks. I always thought it was the forum.. I'm not really sure I guess.? I also got another cut ima try, my boy "had this cut since 09' ". Haha.
They do look different in veg but we will see that's not for another run or 2 tho.

They have an alleged thin mint pheno at the wlamart of cannabis. The sample they gave to purchasing looked frosted but something was lacking with the smell. It looked like it may have been cured improperly, so may still be worth a try, assuming you're legal. (I am not making a recommendation to take any action that may or may not be legal).

A friend of mine has 5 different GSC's of semi-verified nature. They are likely different phenos, or if we are to believe the cookie team, they are different S1's from bagseed.
In any case, the terpene profile ranges wildly, but they all seem to have slow veg, medium, never great yield, dark leaves, some purpling stems, and unusually long fan leaf stems on many, an OG-type structure, and he's also found warping on many of the leaves.
The ones being run are old-SCM, club 'thin mint' plant (questionable and still too early to tell), older thin mint cut from grower friend (forum?), platinum (rosemead), and 'GD regular couch cookie expert' cut.
The old SCM and likely forum look exactly alike. Platinum has a slight purple aroma to it, and the clonaries did a comparison to determine there is one pheno or nearly identical platinum phenos going around. The one that came from the regular looks slightly different because it doesn't have the OG 3 leafs so far in veg.
Comparison to GD flowers has not been reliable for a long time now, and I want to point to this fact because there has been so much variation in what they provide as 'cookies'. It could be they gave out different phenos or different S1's such that they can keep up with high demand, and it is highly likely that they are also procuring fortune cookies, monster cookies, GDP/Cherry Pie cookies, and cherry pie as cookies. I don't care to call them out, and them come out and deny it and argue with me, but the fact remains, they sell many different things as cookies.
So many are relying on memories of old cookies when it first came out, or otherwise on getting bud straight from the cookie fam's personal stash. Hope that helps.

Heard from a very reliable source that PCG's cookie at BPG is a relative of the cup winner, and inferior to the cup winner.
Also, no personal experience, but SpeedyRX 'thin mint' reported by a reputable grower to have wrong hashy spicy terpene profile, and other things that seem 'off'.

Looks like platinum that is available at the clubs. Good plant if it is.
Can also be cherry pie x durban x og kush made by others to try to copy cookies, which has that look.
Very hard to tell from just that picture. Have to look at the entire plant structure, unusual traits, and we need smell-o-vision to know for sure.
