Nice Carbon Filter, I'm gonna have to build one of those before flower this time around. I moved to a nicer neighborhood and don't want any odor, even though I'm legal.

The small Carbon Filter I've been using didn't work very good at the end.... Yours looks legit though. When I make one, I'll come back and drop a line.

Maybe you posted this earlier, but whats the background on the Nancy Botwins? Sounds Like some dank MILF weed.

Yeah if you have any questions about the DIY filter just let me know. That guide I posted while very stoned haha, it's a bit vague. The nancy botwin is an indica dominant hybrid (romulan x purple erkle) I believe it's known as "erkulan" in different areas. The indica traits come out in the leaves, HUGE FANS! Almost as fat as the Pre 98. But she takes to LST very well and stetches a bit in flower like a sativa (romulan?)

Damn I'm tired...

Okay everyone, took cuttings yesterday and I thought I'd share my simple methods..
First thing you need for good cuttings is.... a good MOM

More angles....

Anyways... so I start by sterilizing my cloner with hot water and antibacterial soap...
I also try to think ahead and get a razor blade nice and soaked with alcohol..

Clones support collars wait to be used..

On this run of cuttings I'm testing a rooting gel I've heard good things about... Rootech

Back to the momma... So she was already very tall and getting to close to the light for my liking, so I decided to take all her tops down starting with the main stem..

I cut a 45 degree angle with some clippers (I usually cut WITH the razor blade)

At the bottom of the cutting, which will be either submersed in water or constantly being hit with bubbles, I shave the outer layer of the stem and then make a 45 degree cut into the tip of the stem with my blade.

Then I dip the part that will be in water, in my rooting gel... I dipped my cutting strait into the container because I JUST opened this tiny jar. I think I would suggest putting the rooting gel in a small dish or shot glass.

Bam..

By the end of a small sesh the cloner is looking mighty full

Momma is still kinda big for my liking :/ lol

Well I hope that was helpful to someone? I usually see roots within 7 or 8 days. We'll see how this Rootech gel works... And just so everyone knows how my vegg cab is looking these days...

Also, Where did you find the 6" Cap for your filter... I can't find one anywhere!!

My clones usually root around the same time (give or take a few days) but I definitely notice that the smaller cuttings with softer stem root a day or so quicker. The sour bubble top i cloned has a FAT stem. I used my new rooting gel on it however, we'll see how she does I got my 6 inch cap at home depot. I've seen em at hydro shops as well... Lol nobody sees that carbon filter in my secret lil room... no worries

So I'm exhausted but I'll be doing some serious updating tommorow but I'd thought I'd let you in on the news I got today. So my boy came over (who provided me with my genetics) and we were smokin' and checking out the plants. He said "dayum that maui wowee is sure finishing up fast huh?" (commenting on the buds swellings, cloudier trichs, and browning pistils) I grabbed it and pulled it out. Just so everyone knows, I've never smoked maui wowee...let alone grown it. Anyways, after some serious smelling and inspecting we came to the decision that my "Maui Wowee" is actually "Green Crack." A better yielder, faster flowering strain, that I've smoked and am a HUGE fan of. My buddy must've accidentally mislabeled when he came over lol NO WORRIES
So in a way its a blessing.... my buddy also thought he had lost his green crack strain so he's all stoked that I took a cutting of it before I flowered it. I actually have 2 in different stages of flower, and 1 in early vegg. So I AM NOT GROWING MAUI WOWEE. I will try to back through and re-label all my pictures and shit :/ Anyways, I'm stoked to be growing some green crack... smells BOMB. Aight, Pre 98 bowls then sleep

Before I COMPLETELY pass out...
I thought I'd show some pics of my Nancy Botwin at 14 days....
It definitely stretched a bit and lost a bit of its indica look (just a TINY bit lol, fan leaves are still FAT) but I think that stretch has stopped... as buds are beginning to form

Thanks GreenSmoke I'm on my way to your thread when I wake up in the morning! Good luck with those bubba kush seeds, pre 98 is an older cut of bubba (hope thats what ya got!!).. Lower yielder, but makes up for it with bag appeal and extreme indica potency. Frosty frosty, grows very similar to BOG's Sour Bubble in my opinion. I have yet to flower it out though, these are just my observations of my friends couple pre 98 runs (the nugs pictures above). I've got a bunch on deck in vegg though, so we'll see how she likes my set up

Ya I hear the pre 98 is killer! not sure what my boy has but ive smoked the bubba he's grown and it is a great high very happy 2hrs+, had a woody flavor and that kush smell but stronger than normal. Plus I was surprised i liked it better than his OG.....so maybe im in luck!

Pre 98 or not, sounds good Well I'd take my boys pre 98 bubba over any OG... most of the time. Except this Larry's grown out by a club around here. That shit is FIRE. I wanna get a cut of that for sure. My boy is testing all sorts of OG's right now, the Larry being one of them. Fingers crossed Hope the Fire and the Larry are some good shit.

New Project
So I'm adding yet another aspect to this thread/my grow.
10 Purple Twilight seeds were germed using moist paper towel, heating mat, in a dark drawer. They took 2 days to pop (the 8 out of 10 that popped..) Here's how it looked this morning.. As I said, 8 out of 10 but I have not given up on those other 2....

I've never smoked/grown purple twilight either!
I have very limited information on it other than it's a purple sativa dominant strain that came from NORTHERN northern california.
Let's see what I can do with these babies, learning as I go with em
