Aeric Cali-O 77 lineage/parents?

Does anyone happen to know the lineage or parents of cali-o 77? I looked around but couldn't find it.

Reason I ask is- I made some f2's of cali-O 77 x sour diesel back in 2009ish, with selections made towards cali-o.
I'm growing out the f2's now and have one odd pheno that's extremely sativa, super thin leaves. She looks nothing like any of the others. I'm guessing she hails from the cali-o side of things, just trying to figure out what lineage cali-o came from. I feel like I've heard it said that it came from 'skunk' genetics, but not sure.

Any help is much appreciated :tiphat:

Found this in another thread (I had asked before lol).

"California Orange, ae77 calio = Thai x [Afghani x Acapulco Gold]."

Don't know if that's accurate or not... But the pheno in question definitely looks like Thai. She was a runty, mutant looking thing but she's growing out of it now. Due to being a weirdo runt sativa, I was contemplating culling her, but... perhaps not.

I wonder if it was the Thai that brought the orange flavor to cali-0?
Hmm...

not sure anyone knows what it is anymore, but if I remember correct the story on the old cannabisworld was that it was a selection of skunk#1

Pretty sure she is a pheno of The Flying Dutchman's Royal Orange. The Classic Clone Company did an S1 of aeric77 Cali-O about 8-9 years ago and one grower on cannabisworld found a very Sativa leaning phenotype...

Cool! Did he like it? Do you remember what was said about that phenotype?

That was towards the end of cannabisworld and as far as I can remember the grower did not respond to the questions.

I do remember Royal Orange being mentioned and that is where the Skunk #1 would come into play. I smoked plenty of Colombian and Mexican back in the day and I never got fruit from them. It was mostly an earthy/musky kind of smell and there was cedar also. I used to know someone that would know, I'll see if he is still around...

Royal Orange was a selection of skunk#1, so if cali o is a selection of skunk#1 too they do share genes, but cali o is not from a bag of royal orange seeds

Sometimes i wish i saved more of the info i find...

I remember Calio being well known for its happy, anti-anxiety high, neither Sk1 or R.O are especially known for that effect, from what Ive read anyway.

I vaguely recall CaliO being a 50/50 Sativa/Indica hybrid, but exactly what the parents were is probably lost to history. It was made from whatever was around at the time, mostly Mexi, Colombian, Thai and Afghani genetics. I would assume it to be some combination of those strains. Someone like Chimera might know for sure.

Right on, thanks dudes. Little sativa pheno will be moved to the back of line but not culled till grown out. Might be worth keeping around as a head stash.

Here's my big bad ass pheno, #1. Has a hint of diesel in the smell but it's a good mix of both, where all the others are one or the other. This is the first time the biggest baddest alpha seed turned out to be a female for me. Check out the serrations on the leaves, looks like a fucking chainsaw. Biggest serrations I've ever seen.

Edit: It won't let me load pics for some reason atm. They're in my misc folder. Will put em up tomm.

I just asked the owner of the Classic Clone Company what the deal is and I am waiting on the answer...

Shit yeah, thanks 4 dragons :tiphat:
I'll get around to posting pics of the other phenos soon. Only popped 6 (6 of 6 germed) 5 females, 1 male (I runt fem culled).
