I Have been doing this for awhile and never had problems the clones would droop for day then come back.
I Had been using the same coco for a few Grow recycling.
I Just changed coco from the same Batch of bricks, soaked them like normal, flushed the hell out of them. Added perlite and Cal mag 600ppm.
The Clones roots are anywhere from 3 - 9 inches, i did a test long roots verses Short roots and the shorter rooted clones seem to be Wilting up and just staying wilted with Barley if any recovery before i pull them out. out of 20 clones about 7 - 10 clones are wilting and not perking back up. When i pull them out of the coco the roots look dried up and dead. Not white and pretty like they where in the cloner.
I Have tried Pouring water on top of the coco and pouring water in the trays ( 3x3) for the water to soak up into the coco, the coco is wet, as wet as coco can get with perlite ( you guys know how coco is) . The temps are around 80-82 degrees in room.
I Just went and sprayed them with clonex and water hoping the mist helps them adjust to coco.
I Havent ever had them do this, I could always take from cloner put straight into coco grow one week and put right into flower.
But this is a new batch of coco and i think my old coco had broke down ( degraded) some and held water better, I have soaked some Jiffy pellets thats the old way i use to clone, pellets to coco and never a problem.
Anyone ever have this happen, i could really use some advice. Do i need to water a few times a day to make coco Stay REALLY Wet for clones to root, the bottom of the coco pots are pretty soaked the tops never stay as wet as the bottom.
Bummed Out.
Thanks for any help
