:tiphat: Hi, Saibai here.
Got a late start but today I potted up the 8 seedlings that germed out of 12.
Seeds germed:

Female Seeds C99 (Fem) - 2 out of 3

Mandala Satori (Regular) - 4 out of 6

Nirvana Aurora Indica (Fem) - 2 out of 3

Here they are freshly repotted, but before being given some water with neem added (OzzieAI will be proud :) ).

(Note only 7 are pictured, the 8th is an AI that is a tiny retarded thing, may not even make it...but as long as it's still alive, albeit barely, there's hope. Took a pic but it's all blurred - crappy phone camera, didn't have my digital with me)

So these are going outside as of today, after spending 2 weeks or so under a flouro indoors. I'll be cracking some more, probably start tonight. I really want as many Satoris as I can get, females of course but a male would be great to make seeds...and Satori would be ideal for making crosses - I've grown it before and it was hands down the best smoke I've ever grown or had. :ying:

I've got a few choices of seeds left to germ, will post what I've got an see what the public would like. Will update. :thank you:

Thanks fellas. :dance013:

Here's the seeds to choose from:

1 x FMS C99 (Fem)
2 x Nirvana Aurora Indica (Fem)
4 x Mandala Satori (Reg)
2 x Sleestack x Skunk (Reg)
1 x Northern Lights (Fem)
1 x Black Domina x Cheese (Fem)
1 x Sweet Tooth (Auto Fem)
1 x Somango (Auto Fem)
Lots of Chemdog DD x Hashberry
Lots of strong indica bagseed

Will probably crack the 4 Satori, and maybe 4 others...whaddaya reckon I should try? I'm not really interested in autos though...

Not sure how many will germ, as they have all been stored at room temp, for about a year. Not the greatest germ rate for the first round, but guaranteed fems are nice. :)

I would try them all this year if I could, but I have a limit on numbers. Oh well.

Let us know what you guys\gals think! :woohoo:

Why not I say! :tiphat:

That's 6 decided...anyone reckon I should try the 2 Sleestack x Skunk?

Edit: Looks like a full moon on Friday the 18th of October...good time to germ seeds! :)

Any time is good to germ seeds....they can't see the moon.

High Country: Thanks for dropping in.
Some gardeners swear by the lunar cycle for germinating, pruning/taking cuttings, fertilizing and harvesting.
I for one have never tried it...but here's a good link to an Aussie general organic gardening blog that explains the logic/science behind the concept:
http://aussieorganicgardening.com/?p=32

There are also numerous cannabis-specific threads regarding growing according to the lunar cycle, on most cannabis forums including IC Mag.

Any requests for which seeds to pop? :)

Hey Saibai, how bout a cpl of each strain, I know your up for it,
at least you wont have to fight off those damn monkeys again! :woohoo:

Using the Luna cycle as reference is old school,, go for it!

The only question now is... will the ninja return?
best of luck bro

Went to see how the babies are going, looking pretty good so far.
First time I've used jiffy pots, they seem to lessen the shock of transplanting as you can just whack the whole thing into soil without disturbing the roots.
That mutant AI looks like it's dead, leaving 7 total.
The Satoris are looking the best, with noticeably thicker stems and a bit better growth.
One of the seedlings, I think it's a C99 but I didn't check the label on the pot, has quite a few holes in it's true-leaves...none of the others are affected.

Didn't bring my digi cam or my mobile, but will post progress picks in the next couple of days.
Meanwhile, I think I might go with these for the next germ round:

4 x Satori Regs
1 x Black Domina x Cheese Fem
1 x Somango Auto Fem
1 x C99 Fem
2 x Aurora Indica Fem

The C99s are mostly to give to a mate, the Satoris for me and the AIs for topical rub for the wifey and me. The others were freebies.

Dropped in to see the babies. Watered, some neem too. Slightly moved them for better sun. edit: looking at the pics below, I might swap positions of the pots next time I'm there. The ones next to the fence might not be getting enough sun.

Found a big slimy white slug in one of the pots, could he be responsible for these leaf-holes?

Either way, I'll be hitting up the local hydro store for some diatomaceous earth. Might give them a touch of their first nutes next watering, too.
At the moment I've only got some Yates Uplift (http://www.yates.com.au/products/organic-gardening/fertiliser/yates-uplift-organic-liquid-fertiliser/) left over from a vegie grow a while back...although it might be a bit old, looking at Yate's recommendation of 12 months from the date of manufacture. Might have to get some new ferts.
Ideally of course, I'd have some healthy soil on the go with lots of goodies in there, but not at this time. Hey, anyone else think that's a rather big space between internodes on the taller ones?

As you may have guessed, these plants aren't on my property, so I can't see them everyday. They'll stay where they are for a couple more weeks, then they'll be whisked off to another more private location to flower. :dance013:

Checked on the plants. Not looking too shabby, been 2-3 weeks now since they were transplanted outside.

Wet the soil, sprayed neem on them then gave them some nutes. Still something having a go at some of the leaves, but not enough to warrant anything more than just the regular neem applications atm.

The Satoris are bloody champs, way ahead of the C99 and AI...low maintenance. They look a bit stretched in the pics but have actually settled down a bit and have all reduced internodal spacing a fair bit now.
The other strains seem to not want to move their asses without being supplemented with food.
The others are fem, maybe that's why they have less vigour than the reg Satoris? Vigour and low nute demands are also traits that Mandala select for too, though.

Will finally get around to germing those seeds I said I would.
Will start soaking tonight and will either plant em straight into potted soil, jiffy pots, or maybe do the old tissue trick.

Whaddaya reckon about topping the taller ones? I don't think I topped the Satoris last time I grew em...probably won't this time either - no real need I spose.

Got 4 days off work and will be meditating with some mushies tonight or tomorrow night. Been a while.

Till next time gang!
:thank you:

Plants not too interesting at the moment, so here's some pics of some buds from a previous Northern-hemisphere outdoor organic grow. I apologise for the repost.
