help me choose a set of bags

Ive been thinking about picking up a set of bags. I've narrowed it down to kbr bubble bags, boldt bags, or bubble bags. Am I correct in assuming the bubble bags and boldt bags will be of equal quality? has anyone used the kbr bags? I notice they only come in 2 bag sets while the competitors use 4 or more bags. Also does anyone have any feed back on the cheapo ebay bags that are like 40$ for a set? I'm assuming they probably won't last long?

I don't know anyone besides myself with a set of KBR (Kootenay Bubble Refinery) Bags, but they are the toughest bags out there. Also the most expensive.

Check the link in my sig for info on the brands you listed.

That is often the case. Ebay and headshops, these suppliers will often not replace a defective bag for you.

I've been impressed with Sprung Bags. Really the only cheap set I can recommend; I've used my set numerous times.

do you feel that theres a disadvantage to the 2 bag set? are you happy with the final product? thanks again

I can make great hash with two screens-- I would first collect the trichomes in a 5 gallon bucket after filtering out the ice and plant material in the 209μ bag. Second, siphon away all the water above the settled trichome layer. Lastly, add fresh water and pour through the 33μ bag.

Personally, I like to have an additional filter in the 160μ-190μ range before I siphon away the water.

Adding a bag in the 50μ-110μ range will ensure that your 33μ bag drains much quicker. The disadvantage with a two bag setup: The more hash you are collecting, the slower that 33μ bag will drain.

7 bag Bubble bag set.

A 2 bag set cannot match the quality and you are most likely washing away many trichomes. As a minimum I would use 220u,160u,73u and 25u bags.

My Ice-O-Lator set is sitting very well after 30+ uses. It's probably the same quality as the other good brands. Made by the Pollinator Company in Amsterdam.

Definitely. They are one of my favorites.

The inventor and owner of Pollinator told me their most popular set of Ice-O-Lators is the 3-bag, 220-70-38 set.

since other brands have been mentioned - anyone used the full mesh bag sets from sean100watt. These bags were in a regional grow shop at a very reasonable price 3 bag set like $35 and the 5 bag set around $50 something.

They seem very well built, seams seem strong .......anyone got experience?

8 bag set off ebay... bubblebagdude.com or whatever.

They're $45 and they work great. If you're worried buy 2 sets of them. Used 'em for a few months now and they're holding up fine.

Paying hundreds of dollars for bags lol.. no.

25 micron bag? Does anyone actually use what comes out of that one?

I prefer 160 for grabbing large crap...

90 for grabbing smaller crap...

73 and 43 for grabbing useable stuff and well... I really don't see the need for a 25 at that point.

Really going to use a 25 micron bag and save that stuff... get a full mesh bag, not just a bag with a mesh panel in the bottom. They drain suuuuuuuuuuper slow so the more surface area, the better.

Keep it Clean! :D

I use a 5 bag bubble set off ebay, consists of 220u,160u, 120u, 73u and 25u bags...

Had them for a couple years and done me good.. Check my album Passion for some pics...
