Flushing in rivers?

I've got some plants that have been over fertilized a bit, Just wondering if anyone has ever pulled the plants and put the roots in a near by stream to flush? If so does this work?

Earth worm soil factory users, how did y'all's crop turn out? Was it worth the hefty 200 a yard price tag?

I used 30 yards this year but didn't experience the full benefit due to hastily using synthetic Heavy 16. Definitely healthier plants with than those planted in pro- mix. Love its water retention however hated its difficulty to water. Required a great deal of natural wet/ coco wet. Considering runnin it 50/50 promix to give it more porosity and running nothin but organic.

Wish everyone a safe and successful harvest.

mixed results on the norcal blend...some guys had good results, ones who had stellar results amended it after buying it, and ive heard a few things from other growers about it lacking P and K...personally had a lot of issues with my 60 yards but i think it was more due to weather and bad clone starts....

i grew bigger plants this year in re-used fox farms ocean forest, than any of my norcal blend plants...but i feel the norcal blend will be better for continuous seasons and good if you want to stay organic and use zero salt frets...

The EWSF soil was great, however can still be improved. My custom blend I have been using for 10 years now blew EWSF out of the water. My custom blend has coco, and people on this forum don't like coco, but it shit all over the EWSF soil. I am excited to amend it and start fresh next with with soil tests. Seems like a great soil to use as a base. (the EWSF soil that is)

Did you find it hard to water...the ewsf? Did you get a soil test...I am curious what the base cation saturations and P2O5 levels were? I would also be curious if it has high enough levels of micros?

Mine has some vermasoil and coco in it, but is primarily FFOF, Sunshine Advanced, and roots. Much of it was recycled from indoor grows. It worked great!

Heres an OGMango still out there

Heres the 100 gallon Gorilla still budding

Its a real mistake to consume any alcohol before smoking from this plant. This stuff is strong even at 25 days.

Here is a Sour Diesel like pheno of a Headband S1. Real nice headrusher, tasty as hell.

Boobs Cherry Pie looks great! I need to grab a cut of that one.

my soil was a coco/pumice blend I love it. I plain watered my girls only for the first 6 weeks and they loved me.

What else was in the mix, if you don't mind sharing?

I'm also curious if any of the other big plant growers have test results for their mixes. I'm hesitant to use coco in larger bed set ups because it sucks up Ca and has a relatively lower cec than other amendments of similar price. You can see the results of this if you transplant a clone into a small container of a coco mix and compare it to a transplant into ffof, black gold, or other bagged soils. The plant in coco will show deficiencies first.

I happen to be a peat fan...but is that really a fair comparison? Both the peat mixes also contain compost (so some food) and the FF has nutes added. Most coco is nothing but coco.

It's probably a fair comparison when considering that coco is often marketed as being an alternative to peat. I remember seeing a product that was literally called "Better than Peat" that was just a pressed brick. At least peat doesn't suck up and hang on to cations (significantly?). In a hydro set up with chem ferts it doesn't matter because you "pre charge" and saturate the coco with all that it can hold and then proceed with the grow but outside in a pot or a mound it would be more difficult, especially organically. I run a coco recirc system inside and love the simplicity of it but I'm hesitant to put it in the mix outside. If I do experiment with it in the future I'll probably go much heavier on the Ca amendments and a little with K and Mg.

I should clarify when comparing the mixes though:

Take all the commercial growing mixes that contained peat and substitute coco in place of the peat. The compost and other goodies like castings in these mixes are providing some food but I would bet the plants in the peat mixes would outperform the coco.

Cep, that is the same argument I heard about my coco, is the base cautions would be too low. The soil test I got with my soil that had coco in it had a total cec of 43. Way higher than any bagged soil out there.

I did not test the EWSF soil, but after harvest I will be sending out for tests preparing for next year.
