Whats life in California like?

Stasis.....I hear that

Stasis.....I hear that

Brah.......man......you are out there:comfort:.......living in Cali...is different for me..than what you describe.......get located near a college....babe's everywhere....good luck on your move.

Yeah, Detoxing - it takes 6 weeks.....

Was damaging the Thyroid badly with daily Goitrogenic Juicing of Beets and Carrots. As well as taking in Flouride in various forms - mostly in my Healthy 15+ Herbs tea of 2 years - everyday hardcore use, 22 ozs a day, minimum. + Stress in life, and other issues all added up. I feel like a different person. But, still have low energy, which is changing slowly. Apparently, Rooibos is a HIGH Flouride tea.. As is regular Balck tea. The longer these thigs STEEP, the worse they are. I was steeping mine for an hour or so, doubling the dose of Flouride.. Jeesh.. .
I had just replaced Rooibos (african RedBush Tea) as the Base Ingredient alittle over a year ago.. Instead of Peppermint. Brilliant Idea.. I poisoned myself..! Oh well, I love it, but no longer imbibe.
Flouride is the enemy for the Endocrine System. I was also using a radical Flouride Mouthwash for the first time, religiously. Don't ask your Doctor about it, you'll. get a Blank Stare..

I feel calmer inside than I can actually remember..! Weird.

SO - Caleefernee - - - NorCalleefernee - Land of Fruit Bats and Nut Bags... Even with a Positive Attitude - For Me - The Bottom Line. Isolation is a real issue in NorCal. Too many people around is a definite Liability in this biz in this area. I am single, and this is an unenviable position to be in. One needs a Mate one can depend on in this place.

Women to hang with are non-existent on the coast. Period. It ain't SoCal with Attractive Female Flesh vying for Your Attention. Mostly what Guys get is SCOWLS from typically Large Women., who have no style - It is almost comedic sometimes. I often say, "As If..!" The Guys wear dirty work clothes all day and night. Baseball caps, remain unwashed, because they rarely leave the Cabeza.

AND unless it is a holiday weekend with tourists and a rare hot day - One NEVER sees Skin, Local Fe-Males all bundled up in the flannels, elastic-waistband-pants, and hiking shoes. Oh, so feminine.. Turgidness overcomes me.

Guess, I am back. Feeling better (80%)... Tomorrow I will find out more, but still a realist.

The Mendo Coast is its' own Demographic, Folks. That is the only area I refer to.

Unlike the Bay Area, SoCal, or anywhere else. Even Humboldt has shopping and a College which changes things quite a bit.

Oh Yeah, and almost NO One gets their Medical Care done on the Coast, as the Drs. are beyond uninformed and unaccountable. Living High on the Hog with Federal Money, they care not about service. Except for a few exemplary souls.

People are chewing at each other to set up their summer grows, and no one I know is prepared. haha..

I am (happily) relocating out of state.. With Solid People That I already Know - awaiting my arrival. A 40-foot Greenhouse -A barn with 220V - You name it. I will teach someone, and we will work hard together. He is loyal, on 30 acres, excited to start, and I have nothing to worry about. THAT is Huge. Within an Hour to a Major City, and all the concerts, etc.. Oh, Yeah.

Cleaning out the freezer, making "Jelly" Hash Ice/water extraction only - which is all I smoke lately. Finishing my grow of Cheesequake, NL x Big Bid, MK Ultra, The Chamba Sisters 1 and 2, SD, Chem Valley Kush, And a couple others. Then off it and away I go.

Been looking for a place from county line to county line on the coast, and a few miles inland to live and grow, due to a lovely set of surprises by my (unchosen) Partner/Landlord (who moved into the house I occupy with his untaken-care-of dogs - giving me 1 day notice - nice - wonder why I feel this way about the area.? He's considered a wealthy pillar of the Community.. Get it..?)...He wants to grow it all by himself this year, but will get molded out probably 80%+.

1 mile from the Pacific Requires massive skills, Brah.

Gave my 30 day notice the next Morning.

So far, No real luck, looked at several places - hours apart - 3 offered to me - just crappy Landlords looking for a handout, or a slave, with NO MMJ allowed, and exorbitant rents. Even went and looked for EMPLOYMENT..! Perish the thought - and was offered a high-responsibility Hospitality job for such a pittance - it was easy to decide..

Will be writing on another MMJ state boards.. As well as this one no doubt.

Me and CA might be heading for a fork in the road. I will work hard in "That Place," and find my Shangri-La afterwards..

Instead of this shoddy Trucker Crap and "Braggitude," as I call it, I get Rockstar Status there. Looking forward to it.

Down the road, after things change further, Thinking Florida Keys.. Or somewhere more exotic without constant hassles.

WE are Blessed (although it was our hard work and study which mde it happen) to be doing THIS at THIS time in History. Good timing on our Parts...? Maybe.. But a Good time to be a Pot Grower..!!!!

Love Ya..!

The economics of Coastal Mendocino County coupled with the lack of Mental Stimulation, as well as other types of excitement are simply too stressful. You either made it already, or are now a full-on criminal, in the eyes of the Law, with seizable assets...

Exists always a possiblity of future incarceration. One Crackpot Neighbor, one Teen caught trespassing on your property, one domestic argument perhaps with your growing partner who changes the deal midstream.. ? knock-knock...

In these Small-Towns - LEO knows what WE all do.... One Flyover with the right equipment looks like a Christmas Tree.

ALL Other parts of CA, except perhaps Crescent City are very different,

Do not feel defensive about my claims. SF Bay area is a completely different world. As is SoCal, Santa Cruz, and just about anywhere else. Been in all of the areas, at length. I'd stay in the Bay Area, if it hadn't become such an expensive Rat Race. Lived there for more than 15 years.

Loved it. SF in the 90's was wild and fun. Anything could happen, and it usually did. Life was 24 hours.. Affordable, and your neighbors were artists, freaks, and who knows what. I liked that. People were respectful, but edgy (artsy, interesting).. Although SF is still awesome, it's out of range for most. The Artists are mostly gone, or living two to a room, bitchin' about Yuppies.

The more expensive areas will take the piss out of you. If you are a Trust-Fund baby, You'll do fine.

As for the women throwing themselves at you if they smell good bud, you'd not want that here. Not kidding. You'd be crushed. In the City (SF) that does happen occasionally. Santa Cruz is a good place to try that tack. Wonderful looking Women, even the ugly ones look good. San Diego too.

But, Come up to the Chilly North Coast, and try to even find a Woman you want. Not happening. Even if She looks good, get ready for drama. I only date Women from Santa Rosa, Healdsburg.. More normal interactions. In fact, I dated a Cop from over there for over a year..! It was a healthy relationship. No, She did not Get High with me. She drank wine.. lol - - 'Til one day She said, "I have a Badge, and can't keep coming over to a grow house, even if there's a Hot Tub and lotsa lovin' waiting.." Of course,. I knew that would happen at some point..! haha. Never thought I'd invite a cop over to my house..!!!

Those who profess to know about CA just might.. But they obviously haven't spent more than 2 days up here on the Desperado Coast. Where receiving Gov't disability, or garnering a financial judgement against your previous Employer is a Part-Time Job.

Don't be defensive because Someone has an alternate view of a different area than Santa Cruz, SF, or anywhere else in this HUGE state. Go up to Crescent City, or Willits, and see if you see things differently than I do. Ain't much different in Bragg, these days.

This is the Wild West, in a dying Coastal economy.. In an area with an economy once based on Logging (done) and Rumrunning (more contraband), Now based on Marijuana, in a bargain basement market where Brokers strive to find desperate growers who will part with their hard work for 800 a pound. Folks who make bunk Bubble hash and the Clubs buy all they can get for 5$ a gram.

Things are obviously going to be bizzare and strained, right about now. An aquaintance (at best) of mine has seen his family empire of many, many properties - hotels, restaurants, homes, vacant lots, ALL get repossessed by the bank. 60 people put out of work with one fell swoop. Reality Bites. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.. not.. Karma.

Most people here are aware of the societal degradation. People are relocating daily out of the area. Almost everyone I knew before from within the Cannabizness in the "OG Kush Days," who were from other parts of the USA - have returned Home to make money, open a Hydro Shop, or resume relationships with real friends.

'Cause it is almost impossiblle to save $ here on the Coast, unlike before 2008 - unless one has a criminal streak, a bunch of SOLID mates, and a good patch of land to grow securely on.

No jobs, Fellahs.. None. So, it's pot or nuttin'.

Pot Lotto - You hope to grow a lotto Pot, but it's still Pot Lotto.

The amount of Homeless, and trespassers has multiplied exponentially in the last 5 years. The Aggressive Panhandling getting a bit out of hand in Bragg. Gotta be always on your toes..

Toss many of the People and this place is Shangri-La.

spent 6 years there in the early 1970s ... compared to where i came from, it was like being dropped into the 25th century ... i liked it a lot (in my 20s), wouldn't want to live there now (in my 60s). Too many people.

i fucking loved Santa Cruz, redwoods, San Lorenzo river (garden of eden, oh my) ... and there were hippies everywhere.

Yeah it's not the same California traffic overcrowding etc many leave the state to retire I hope to get out when I retire as well. Its just to expensive,But I still love Cali from SD to Weed. Peace sdd

The great state of Cali where money grows on trees... Awesome, you can easily smoke your good while you are walking down the street. Past police while you make eye contact, no big deal. Leo rarely ask for med paperwork if you have bud on you. great place, its what you make of it. Leo is much more human than other heavy prejudice states like Florida, southern states etc. if you have a leo encounter out here, you actually have a good chance of just showing a good attitude and getting the benefit of doubt

Anyone have an opinion on Palm Springs?

I see a lot of green. Where do they get the water to irrigate and it must be expensive to do so?

picked up a felony concentrate charge... pulled over by chp at night, they were looking for a DUI and smelled bud. they asked me to step out and were in my drunk in a second -- they found 5 rooted plants, 20 unrooted clones, and some product

hit me with a surprise at the booking window... felony concentrate charge for 1g for wax

Had many, many great years in San Francisco. Amazing group of friends, all interesting and diverse. As with any city like S.F. it is transitory. People move on. Especially now, with the City costing as much or more than new York anymore. Super high quality though, if ya can work n it out. Life is pure fun in San Fran. Pot country sucks anymore though. I just was not a drug dealer at heart, and probably will never be. Some of the Best product around, and I had so many excellent moments mushroom picking or surfing, hiking, meditating . I treasure it all, but, if I got wealthy, I'd probably go back to Hawaii. That was the best. If I could take some of my new Midwest friends it would be true paradise. The midwesterners are much more upstanding and trustworthy. Although there are plenty s h I t balls, the ratio is better. Compared to emerAld triangle folks. I miss the land but not the peeps.

ok, so I am just responding to the original post of "what's living in california like?".....I just moved out here from indiana and let me tell you....stoner's paradise.....more pot than I can shake a stick at. The problem comes when you try to make cash off it......the collectives dont want to give you shit for it........but all in all, as strictly a grower, I love it.....silicone valley of herb up here.
