One Night in Amsterdam...What to Try?

I could really use some advice. I am traveling for business next week and will get to stop in Amsterdam for one night. My intense hope is that I will be able to sneak away from my business associates and sample one strain. I am staying at the Amsterdam Marriott FYI.

I live in a large southern state that is not tolerant of weed nor known for its quality of homegrown. I have been smoking for over 20 years. Yes, I have tried many different strains from CO, CA, and WA. I think I have had pretty good stuff. But you never know if you are getting what is advertised when dealing with imported stuff. Plus I got a feeling that you guys in the mentioned states are keeping your best stuff locally...sure not shipping to Texas.

So I have this one chance to sample something really good. My thought is to try a semi pure sativa like Mr Grinspoon since I am not sure I have ever had good sativa and want to experience that soaring high. But am also considering Super Lemon Haze and Amnesia Haze.

One night in Amsterdam and I won't have more than a couple hours. What do you experts recommend I do?

definitely go for a sat. dominant if that's what your after, but if you go with the grinspoon you may be disappointed in looks anyways. it is barely nuggets and very whispy and just honestly not much on the eyes. speaking towards effect it does what a sat. will do but just not what I would be after going all the way out there. that being said there are plenty other sat dominant choices and don't be afraid to ask the tender/tendress to see what you wanna purchase from menu.. shouldnt purchase without looking first and theyre obliged to show you. they do all close at like 11-12 ish? might oughta sample some indi too if ya wanna catch z's haha

Dr Grinspoon was good when I went to Barnies in July .
Doesn`t have bag appeal and at 14 Euro a gm expensive . Good head high though .
SLHz can be nice . SSHz not really a Sativa high IMO . Good buzz, but not Sativa buzz . Ditto Amnesia .

Its hard to say, coffee shop menus change regularly, if you want
Quality smoke go to the grey area, and if your smoking the dank your associates will know upon your return!

If they have Kali Mist, it will be something you will never forget. I would suggest giving them a call or e-mail for their menu. Kali Mist is definitely sativa!

Dr. Grinspoon is definitely nice, but it was 18€ when i was there in january.
as a sativa fiend, i found the selection generally a bit lacking.
if you only have a short amount of time, i'd recommend visiting one of the 'Barney's'. they have a good menu and nice establishments. (also volcanoes on site).

I missed out on visiting the Dampkring when I was in the 'dam. Next time for sure...

That was my experience as well .
I tried a few "name brand strains " Amnesia , Cheese , Blue berry .
Meh ... I found them a roller coaster ride . High as a kite for half hour . Then dropped .Good if you want to hop from Coffee Shop to Coffee Shop blowing a fist full of Euro .
Thai brick , African brick and Kashmiri hash were much more interesting buzzes to me . And at half the price per gram represented better value .
Truffles !??
The guy said he`s slipping away from the group he`s traveling with for a quick spliff . I doubt truffles would be appropriate ...

I bought some truffles . Ended up throwing them away . Tripping in A Dam was not the time or the place for me .

Hey guys...
Thanks so much for all the helpful suggestions and keep them coming. I need to do some work investigating what my hotel is close to. But I don't think I will do any edibles over there. The truffles make the cookies my wife and I bake sound mild.

I'd go to the grey area for some silver bubble,I sampled a few of there sat Dom strains recently and this was my favourite,crisp sat high and bubblegum flavor.they also have silver bubble dry sift,if your looking for some sat Dom hash I would recommend it.

BM, the truffles are basically shrooms....if I only had a night in the 'Dam and I had to fly somewhere for work the next day, I'd stick to smoking a sensible amount of pot and getting a proper night's sleep.
