Autoflower lighting options help

Hi everyone,

I'm having my first experience with an auto flower which is a freebie from SOS called auto Blackberry.

I have 3 flowering options:
. 18/6, 180w led
. 12/12 of a 600w hps,600w hps/mh and a 400w hps.
. increasing daylight 12.30/11.30 at the moment of natural sunlight.

Which lighting option will get the best results?

Cheers

My bet is on LEDs, if only they're decent ones.
Agree. 18 hrs best light regimen. LED...how many watts per bulb? Mine are 3w each.
If not use the HPS @ 18. No need to do 12 hrs...you're defeating the purpose of autoflower.

My guess is that the HPS 12/12 will do more good for the plant after week 3
Until then LED 18/6.

Well.. I have no scientific numbers to back me up on the subject, but it seems reasonable to me that they get more lumens/day in the HPS at 12h then LED can give in 18...

Makes sense? Hmmmm....

I cannot have the hps at 18/6 as I have photoperiod plants and that is the flower room which is at a constant 12/12.

So what i'm asking is what will benefit/get best results from the plant the most?
an average lighting of 180w led for 18 hours
or blasting the shit out of my plant with over 1400 watts of Hid?

I was thinking along the same lines as you. Get the best veg from the led and when it starts to flower, blast it with 6 times more light in the flower room.

i am going to for the 180w LED and 18/6 light cycle. high pressure sodium lamps would also help encourage the growth of big buds but just keep in mind not to put it too close to the plants to avoid burning. with LEDs, your plants will do fine and you can get good harvest bcoz it provides just the right spectrum and light intensity that the plants need
