A few years ago, my whole left side lost all feeling, and my brain slowed down. After waiting a month out of fright, I went to the first doctor I ever saw in Switzerland, week after all the tests and MRI etc, etc. with in three months a had a diagnosis, and was taking medicine. And in Switzerland they do make money to, a lot, but you are treated like they like you. And they help you get the best result they can.
So I fall else fail come to Switzerland if you can afford it

The first neurologist was sure I had ALS, the new one has no idea what's wrong and wants me to see another specialist. I have trouble walking, breathing on and off, swallowing, get insane cramps, twitching and muscle spasms. I really don't think its als as I have seen people with it, and I really haven't declined much if at all over the past year. The odd thing is that sometimes my arms feel fine, then they get this heavy feeling and become difficult to move and uncoordinated. It takes everything I have to move them and if I was to try to touch my nose i'd be lucky to hit my ear. then a few hours or days latter they feel normal again. My legs started off the same way. Also my fingers and toes turn white then blue and sometimes blackish. they get very cold then when they warm up they get bright red and burn like a bastard. I get some tingling at times in the hands and feet and back, and a weird sensation like I have a band of something wrapped tightly around my chest.
I am NOT a doctor, but:
The symptoms you have mentioned would seem to point to Raynauds Syndrome, where the fingers & toes turn whit-blue-black, then red with a burning sensation. Raynauds Syndrome is often associated with other conditions like Lupus. Angina, or tightening in the chest is also associated with it. Smoking and caffeine exacerbate the problem. Cold weather or touching cold objects can often trigger the symptoms. I suggest you Google Raynauds Syndrome and read about it. It would seem to explain many of your symptoms to the best of my knowledge. And it is often associated with other conditions which would explain your other symptoms. I am surprised none of your doctors have mentioned it. Your thyroid can be a factor here, as can exposure to mercury or vinyl chloride. You will need tests to confirm.
Good luck and post back here and let us know what you find out.

The raynauds has been an ongoing thing for about 8 years. They tested me for lupus, lyme disease, west nile, hepatitis, aids, b12, folate, heavy metals, and all kinds of other stuff. The only thing they found was a problem with my liver. also had a head ct and chest ct, and mri's of my brain and spine. The electro diagnostic tests for my muscles showed damage. The most troubling thing is the weakness and muscle cramping. The twitches look like someone poking me from the inside out, or a worm tunneling under my skin. I know it sounds weird but its very strange looking.

I feel your pain man. I've been suffering from a rare form of adult onset epilepsy for the past 4 years and have been on a cabinet full of different medications, seen a dozen different neurologists, seen the head doctors at special research centers, spent a fortune on hundreds of appointments and endless alternative treatments. So far nothing has worked and no single person has been able to even give an explanation for how I possibly developed the condition. It's absolutely infuriating and can drive a person to depression and anger/resentment.

The only glimmer of hope I have seen in over 4 years are new high CBD strains of cannabis and specialized CBD medicines. I don't know if they have any application for your illness, but I can say there are new treatments for 'incurable' illnesses right around the corner just waiting to be discovered.

All I can say is keep your head up and live every day the best you know how, as that is really all that we have control over.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/symptom-checker/DS00671

Check out your symptoms at this reputable site.:scripture: Look up all the above suggested disease's and then look up Fibromyalgia, Myasthenia Gravis and Mutiple Sclerosis. It sounds like you could have a few different auto-immune disease's, as already suggested.

Go to forums for specific disease and compare your symptoms to others. Sign up and ask other patients with similar issues, about yours. The fact this is not going away is not very good, at all!

Were your MRI"s done with contrast? If not, those need to be re-done with dye.

Good luck when you return to your :hide:M.D.'s with so much more information. :whistling: jpt

And how much did they hit your insurance company for?

This is why medicine shouldn't be a max profit business.

He's in Canada. It's not a for profit system, it's that evil socialist medicine. You know, the kind that provides health care to everyone for free and allows people to go to 25 medical appointments without paying a nickel in co-pays, deductibles or anything else?

Not a "death panel" in sight, either.

That said, most clinical practitioners don't like a mystery. It takes a great deal of time to solve and meanwhile, they are not able to treat other patients they can help more easily. If whatever you got isn't killing you, and they don't know what it is - they are likely to move on Oscar. You need to be persistent. You need to see neurologist at a teaching hospital, where there is somewhat more interest in a medical mystery.

Some of the symptoms Oscar has described are Reynaud's phenomenon (extremities discoloration/rush of blood, etc) which is indicative of nerve damage.

A Look Into Raw, Organic Cannabis Juicing

People globally enjoy partaking in the pungent flowers of the Cannabis plant, seeking the euphoric psycho-activity unique to this plant, whether for pain relief, pleasure or pastime. Many people though are unaware of the amazing benefits of Raw, organic Cannabis Juice.

In raw form, Cannabis leaves and the tri-chrome covered flowers are concentrated with non-psychoactive, anti-biotic, anti-fungal, anti-viral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immune-regulating and anti-cancer nutrient compounds including lesser-known Tetrahydrocannabicannabidiol (CBD), and Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) both of which are proving to be therapeutic substances capable of preventing and/or reversing a plethora of chronic and debilitating illnesses.

When you begin juicing “raw” cannabis, you will consume cannabinoids in their acid forms. The raw form of CBD is CBDA or cannabidiolic acid. The raw form of THC is THCA or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid. These are the A arrangements of the molecules, the non-psychoactive forms. The acids of this plant are not psychoactive unless they are decarboxylated, or heated. When decarboxylation takes place the acids are converted to Δ9-THC and CBD.

Recently CBD is making waves in research, being regarding as a highly medicinal substance with unique immune-regulating capabilities. The human body already contains an endogenous cannabinoid system, complete with different types of cannabinoid receptors, introducing cannabinoids to your systems can help normalize the body's functions, including cellular communication, regeneration and repair, as well as regulating immune function.

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Stn85gMqL6Y/USvUF8cBgYI/AAAAAAAAAZc/j8ktiNVJ1oM/s1600/IMG_2781.JPGJuicing works, because it provides the cannabinoid acids, which are potent anti-inflammatory compounds that help activate and regulate the endocannabinoid system. When you juicing is done properly, you should not have to worry about psycho-activity. Though preparing the juice improperly may lead to heating the solution and causing THC to form, this can be said of pasteurization, even flash pasteurization.

I utilize the power of raw Cannabis in juiced form myself. This juice possesses a powerful grassy taste, definitely lacking in the flavor department. It is best mixed into a smoothie for those with sensitive palates, chased with apple juice or lemonade or just straight for veterans and die-hards. No matter the taste, it is worth the power-house of nutrients found within.

Canna Juicers will notice a strong increase in energy levels, feeling invigorated almost immediately. I am unsure as to why this amount of energy is produced, I am pretty sure it has something to do with the metabolism of the acid components of the juice, leaving it exceptionally beneficial to those with chronic-fatigue issues. This juice has appetite suppressant qualities, as you do not feel the urge to eat as often, and there are no “munchies” associated with raw Cannabis juice.

One downfall is, in its raw form Cannabis Juice does not have a long-shelf life. The neon-green juice begins to turn the mucky-brown of oxidation about as quickly as an apple once bitten into. I would not recommend keeping juice longer than 12 hours as the nutritional value begins to degrade. You are able to store the juice in the freezer for a period of 6-12 months, though fresh is best!

My friend and Juicing Guru, Dr. William Courtney, of Mendocino County California recommends that patients juice 15-20 leaves per day. Cannabis leaves have the highest CBD levels, and therefore are the best for juicing. Prime juicing material is found when the plants are between 70-85 days old. He believes that individuals with compromised immune systems from autoimmune disorders, cellular dysfunction, chronic inflammation, cancer and various other illnesses can derive a wide range of health-promoting benefits by consuming organic raw Cannabis Juice.

I believe that Cannabis, and the compounds found within are vital nutrients missing from our modern, prohibitionist, western diet. Give raw, organic Cannabis juicing a try, feel the benefits for yourself, and then share the news with your friends and loved ones. Don’t be afraid to cure yourself!

More information on juicing can be found online:
http://www.cannabisinternational.org/

By juicing you are allowing the consumption of up to 60x the amount of THC in the form of THCA without the psychoactive effects, allowing for increased cannabinoid saturation. THCA is the precursor acid form of THC, they are metabolized differently. Every from of cannabinoid medicine utilized will give their own unique effects and benefits. Even raw cannabis juice shows anti-neoplastic activity,

"Unheated Cannabis extract and THCa were able to inhibit the tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha) levels in culture supernatants from U937 macrophages and peripheral blood macrophages after stimulation with LPS in a dose-dependent manner."

Δ9-THCA possesses anti-inflammatory and anti-neurodegenerative properties. Δ9-THCA inhibits cyclooxygenase 1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2), in human colon cell cultures (Ruhaak et. al., 2011). COX-1 and COX-2 are both enzymes involved in inflammation. Δ9-THCA has also been shown to decrease the amount of oxidative stress caused by mitochondrial impairment, a major mechanism in neural degeneration, in mouse mesencephalic cell cultures
(Moldzio et al., 2012).

oscar; I am very sorry to hear of your diagnosis and wish and hope you try the oil to treat it. I have similar symptoms with 'stiff' muscles; rso on a daily basis helped me for the pain and stiffness.

Good luck to you and hope you get to feeling better asap! :ying: jpt

Well I finally got a diagnosis! The dr says I have something called Isaac's syndrome. Thanks for all your advice and kind words.

It's good you got the diagnosis, and ironically, it's an autoimmune disease, which is exactly the type disease that responds to cannabis. The treatment is anticonvulsants , which cannabis is, so I'm guessing you could use cannabis in this instance to replace or as an adjunct to the pharmaceutical solution.
Cannabis is an immunosuppressants, so should lend itself well to your condition. You will probably have to try a number of strains to find the one that works best.
Keep posting so that we know if it helps.
