2nd coco dtw run coming up. Using h&g cocos, multizen, bud xl, root excel, drip clean and cakmag. Not sure the recomended feed schedule for dtw 5x feed/day. Was thinkin this run 7.5ml/gal cocos a/b and h&g feed chart for all supplements, 2.5ml/gal calmag. Any suggestions otherwise.

2 gal super roots airpots 5 per 1000w.

Dtw 1min 5x / day

Strain is chemsour x SSCDH

I've been running full H+G in coco for a few years. Basement Mix (amended) and recently switched to Bcuzz (straight coco) for media. CO2.

My suggestions:

Start at half or less Top Booster the first shot of it...then ramp it up if no burn, it tends to burn most of my plants @ full dose(some genetics have been fine).

I flush every 2 weeks, just drip clean and 1-2ml A/B no adds. I've found it helps alot. If you don't, be sure to monitor runoff PPM's.

Shooting Powder...be easy on it. I start at 25% of 1st week dosage (1pk/25gal suggested) with new genetics. It can burn the fuck out of plants @ full dose if they aren't heavy feeders.

W/ the base nutes, I just ramp up every other watering (every 4th day) by .5ml-1ml. If they burn I back off and take note, flush and start where I leftoff.

You shouldn't need the calmag until week 3-4. That's been my experience anyway. Some never do. Some do in week 5, depends on genetic.

Granted I'm running 2 plants/1kw in 7gal's each.
I only water 1xdaily..so just some general guidelines.

Myself I recently quit the shooting powder and started using Rock Resinator or whatever the bullshit is called. It's nice, shooting powder has a tendency to burn if you aren't careful...and come chop time you're all like "holy shit I've got so much budz420omgweed"...and by the time it's all dry you basically can't get a boner anymore. (Alot of water-weight/wet-swell)
The resinator doesn't seem to do that. Hardly any shrinkage. I've only done one run w/o SP though, so that's just a POSSIBLE tip. The boys at my shop (a few of whom use H&G) swear by it. I'm a half convert.

Anyways, yeah. What genetic you running?

Also some genetics I never make it over 5-5.5 base nutes. Others I hit 12. It can be REALLY variable, so I wouldn't get too stuck on some "special" number. Temp/Hum make a big difference too (my rooms run 81-83) and alike the feed chart the needs of the plants change as weeks go by

I think you should mess around with larger pots on your next round. I usually shoot for at least 20-25 gallons of coco per 1000W. I bet your roots are pretty substantial by the end, eating a ton, even in those air pots. Just a thought. I've had good luck dripping for years with H&G following that rule of thumb. Over 1 gpw with that rule of thumb.

Yeah next run I'm switching to 4 plants/light, too many gaps in canopy on account of a laggy plant here and there. Gonna run 7's still, but fill 2/3's or so...so right around the 20 gal mark.

How often you drip? I've been just once a day to runoff. Bought a chiller, next run I'm doing a side by side w/ 4x per day and 1x daily...compare.
