During experiments with SRBGB`s, we found that if a particular specimen were selected to be `culled` from its SRBGB, we could keep the specimen alive by cutting the trunk at the base, directly above the medium, and simply placing the trunk into a large mason jar filled with water. The mason jar could remain in the space having a fruiting illumination duration, be placed into a dark area with no illumination, be placed into an area having vegetative illumination, a quarantine space, or other area.
For pathogen and insect deterrence we had relative success with a two step process. 1) In a large mason jar, mix ground or diced garlic cloves with approximately a handfull of tobacco (any). Let steep for approximately 2 or 3 days, then strain the liquid into a spray bottle and apply to medium. We would also lightly disperse some of the steeped garlic and tobacco particles on top of the media. 2) Approximately a teaspoon or less of neem oil into a spray bottle filled with water, misted over all foliage and media, every day.
No guarantees. But, hopefully, you might be able to actually see waning insect movement and eventually (hopefully) insect carcasses immobile on the media or on the foliage soon thereafter. Insects don`t particularly prefer either garlic or tobacco. It is also an option to simply sow garlic cloves in the same container as the other specimen, as a companion plant. Neem should help deter insects present from procreating successfully. There are several good articles about neem here at ICMAG.
Just potential options the gardener might consider. We hope that this post might be helpful.

Such a simple and effective technique for saving ones work.
I put my GSC in re veg- sitting in air pot -Outside getting watered by the sprinklers.
The GSC was a clones test next to the full grown lady which I simple cut and left one small bud at the base..
The bud is still green, so who knows...lol
I fought the brog my 1st year and won the battle using a mix similar to yours.
Marigolds, tobacco, garlic, chili peppers ..
Slow boiled for a hour the let sit a couple days in jugs.
Strained and poured into spray bottles.
I lost the war by spraying while in late flowering and couldn't smoke the harvest due to taste..
Sad thing is...
I thought about treating for bug while cleaning the tent with bleach, between runs.
With no sign's of issue's from the prior run and having kept my medium indoors as a precaution ..
I thought I was safe with a simple clean..
Live and learn. .

Full treatments(PM & Bug) and clean out (Bleach)between runs is a must from this point on.
I'm looking into micro habitats for critters that can help me in the future.

I like cleaning my medium between run by placing in a 55 gallon trash can with
Small holes at the base.
Flooding the can and agitation while flooded helps separate the roots and different mediums.
I wonder...
With the last flooding if adding a gallon of these home made bug spray might help during the next run.
Talking C-Clay, perlite and coco. .
Moving toward pour C-Clay at this point though ..

I got me some pollen saving going on ATM...
Vac sealed 2 times and covered with duck tape.
Placed in a box and into the freezer they go.
3 separate bottles Vac seal, then all vac sealed in one large packet.
I can use a little and re seal.. Nice. .
Though ill never need this much pollen.
It's nice to know it will be good for as long as I need...

Picked this up today to protect my little seedlings...
This way I can change things up on them...
Already having mite spray on hand...
Going to order bombs tonight and get things cleaned and ready for more fun....
Need to up pot my little ones and have made a set up for them...
Also need to pop some more beans....
Gotz me some growing to do...
I will finish the bud grinding for seed tonight and can start panning for gold come next week....
Then I will know whats going out and how....
Just one foot in front of the other....
This way I can change things up on them...

just popped a few old seeds last week. not sure if it is old school northern lights or northern lights kush. plant is looking like my straight northern lights.looks great though.up potted yesterday.put a few sweet god seeds into paper towel tonight.hope you get rid of all the unwanted guests.hopefully i will start a thread soon.just about finished building my newest cabinet.

That grinder you're using for seeds, is it just a standard nut grinder you'd normalyl use in the kitchen?
Now as for BM, go nuclear with no mercy. I highly recommend hitting them from several angles. Reduce the amount of plant material in your room, spray with the mite killer, and grab some bug bombs (I prefer the prescription treatment brand total release foggers). I like to do things on a three day cycle for mites. Days 1,3, and 6 you spray everything with the mite killer. Days 2,4, and 7 you bomb. It's never a bad idea to cycle two mite killers, say days 1 and 6 you use mite killer #1, then on day 3 and 9 you use mite killer #2. Or you could take a vacation

try out some spinosad as well. you can get it at either the hydro shop or even home depot had one under the name captain jacks dead bug or something like that. i bought a bottle for a buddy and it works good for white flys as well as spider mites and is safe and organic. i had a run in with mites last round and fought them off with a few different things. oh and azamax works wonders and isnt too expensive. between the spinosad and azamax i have beaten WF and the mites. once they are gone i just do random feedings with the azamax to make sure nothing comes back.
azamax is great since you can add it to the res and it's systemic. anything that feeds off the plant ingests it and kills them off and since its just purified neem extract its pretty damn safe.
