Rosetta's New Cab

Bummer about your camera, I hope you get it working again soon.

If you have a camera phone somewhere maybe take a look at this thread and strip your exif data from your pics. It'll give you a way to post pics again at least :)

No camera phone, but maybe I'll dust off the old video camera for you guys. I definitely want to show the growth on this girl. She's fantastic. I'll be putting up the screen ASAP since she's growing up so fast.

The NL x Sk#1 is doing well. She has around 8-10 tops already and seems to be enjoying the screen. Her growth pattern is very dense, but her leaves don't seem like fat heavy indica leaves. The description describe the smoke as "devastating" lol we shall see. I've been feeding her with some Earth Juice and she seems to like it. She's pushing some tops above the screen and I've trained a few down already.

Edit:
Found my video camera :) Video isn't HD, but it's okay.
It's not showing up for some reason, maybe give it a day or two

Hey guys I shot a quick video to show how she's doing.

I've been sort of weaving her tops through the screen and tying them down in some places, trying to get her to stretch out. Not the completely traditional way I see people scrogging, but it should work just the same. I took off two fan leaves to expose some small tops, I usually don't defoliate much, but I will for this girl to keep proper airflow, the growth is still very compact at this point.

When I'm pulling tops down I can feel that she's sticky and resinous already, and smells fantastic  Can't wait to flower this one. Gonna try and fill most of the screen, but probably not all. In the winter I can probably put more lights in, since I don't have to worry about the heat as much, so I could do a slightly larger run next time. Probably Lemon Kush or Brainstorm.

Looking great Rosetta, very nice thick canopy and lush growth. Nicely done! I 100% am with you about defoliating, I hate doing it and it makes me cringe every time i do it knowing that i am taking away the plants energy source. But it is great that you are already onto it with proper airflow and stuff as i was going recommend it once i saw them pics.

You're owning the situation nicely mate, I know this will be a stunning grow and look forward to watching the progress on this beautiful grow.

Thanks kiwi! :tiphat:

I was doing some training today, and as I was bending the very top over, it just snapped. I finished the job and snipped it off, so now she's hopefully topped or FIMed, it'll at least encourage the lower branches to grow some more. She's spreading out nicely now, though. I'll have another video up to show her progress in a few days. Hopefully she doesn't mind being headless for awhile

Update time!

Still no still camera, but I have another video for you guys. She's beginning to fill the screen nicely now, going to let her go for a few more weeks before I flip to 12/12. Did a little defoliation under the screen so you can see her structure a bit better in the video.

:thank you: for stopping by!

Hey everyone got some pics this time, I was able to borrow a friend's camera for a bit. She's filling up the screen nicely now, gonna make the switch soon, maybe a few more weeks.

You can see where I snapped her top off, but she didn't seem to care much  Growth is still going well.

She has been responding well to my veg nutes, and I want to top her with some fresh soil in the next few days, so she has a little more room to stretch her roots.

This fine young lady has grown at a phenomenal rate! nicely done. Can't wait to see her blossom. I know this goes without saying but try make sure those ties you are using are never to tight for the stem they're holding.

Nice progress RS, can't believe how quickly she's filling in the screen.
Might be worth clearing out those dead leaves on the surface of the soil if you decide to give the roots more room. Decomposing leaves can give off unwanted gasses and give bugs something to feed on.

kiwi_growa : Thanks bro, I'll start flowering in a couple more weeks, gonna try and fill most of the screen. I always try to give the stem plenty of growing room with my ties and cut them off when they are no longer needed.

CouchGrass::thank you: I did give her some more soil, I took off the leaves at first, but I replaced them when I was done. I did the same with the leaf mulch last grow, my plants were quite happy, and I had no insect problems. I think it works well for my little micro organic effort.

I installed my carbon filter and a better exhaust fan. Temps went down a few degrees :woohoo: So I was able to put a small 13w 2700k CFL bulb for some extra light. I'll upgrade it to a 33w 2700k eventually, waiting for it to get a little cooler. Maybe I'll even get a third bulb in there during flowering. I lowered the 125w a bit to encourage more vigorous growth. Also topped the container with some soil, and I put some Diatomaceous Earth down after watering to discourage any unwanted insects. Growth is still good, but I figure she'll appreciate the extra room to stretch her roots. Hoping to get a new pic up soon.

I'm starting 12/12 for the Northern Lights x Skunk. I made a veg area and I'm going to start a new girl right away, so she's almost ready for flowering by the time this one is done, to save time between harvests. I think I'm going to pop my Lemon Kush fem.

Here she is today, day 1 12/12:

Hey guys some bad news, my situation has turned to shit, I've gotta have her chopped by Oct 16th, or earlier so I can dry her, and since nothing flowers in a month it'll be a pretty bad loss. I'm looking for a place I can take the cab, but for the current moment I will have to cut her down by then. Hopefully she'll have something on her worth smoking. Sorry to everyone who's been following I know this kind of thing is a real bummer.

It's no big deal to us in the grand scheme man -- though I am sure it is to you.

Hope you situation straightens out soon enough. Please, take ZERO risks on account of a plant that is now going to offer up crap smoke pretty much no matter what. It's not even remotely worth it.

When you get settled in to your new digs, you can crack some beans and dig some roots again. We'll be here.

I'll be taking no risk of course, luckily the situation doesn't have anything to do with my plants. We're fighting though, so maybe I will get to finish this after all.

shitty situation really, but if you consider to go on and not sure when to cut, but probably to early anyway, you can use 10/14 lights schedule, will speed up maturation and decrease flowers quantity, but maybe still better than nothing.

Peace S

Thanks for the tip, that's a good idea. I think a friend may be able to keep her for me for a few weeks until she's finished, so maybe it won't be such a loss after all. She's beginning to stretch and looks very healthy.
