600w Vert. "First time Organic"

Alright here we go. My first thread ever. I've been growing vert for 3 years now but actually took a recent break while I moved my little family into a safer house in a more low key city than I can from. Now down to business. I normally run the "Rezipe" plus calmag & silicate in straight coco drain to waste, and have great results, averaging 440-480g's to my 600w light. I ran an outside organic this year so I just want to get rid of all my organic supplies.

Day 1

5 Harborside *Girl Scout Cookies* (hopefully)

Soil: 1 1.58cuft bag of Black Label coco 50%/perlite 50%
1 1.58cuft bag of Black Label coco 70%/perlite 30%
1/2 1.5cuft bag of Root Organics Original
Blended with a dash (1tsp) of Mycorrhizae in the hole during
transplant

Water: Today, just ph 5.8 dechlorinated plain'ol water

My current room is a custom 5x5x6 poly lined tent with a/c and dehumidifier. I use a 4x4 ebb tray with a custom built tray stand.

Thanks Alien Dawg! Nice to meet you as well. Thanks for pulling up a chair, I don't plan on disappointing! I will update at least once a week with pictures and will be checking on the thread daily. Don't want anyone getting bored. Everyone's input and opinions will be appreciated.

So you have experience with GSC? I've researched it to be a high dollar top shelf strain. I have never even tasted it, so I'm super excited. I was a little hesitant to get it because of the sativa dom. I sometimes have intense anxiety attacks if I smoke a super heart racing sativa so I like to steer clear.

hey bro looking good... all I have to say is I think would be better off mixing your own soil and ditching them bottles... but looks like everything is already set up so on the show goes... maybe thoughts for next time... check out the organic soil forum here.. still ton's of info to be found and you can always search the terms you find here on google and see what can be found... ;)

GSC... is a big deal here on this site... check out the GSC thread and see what their thoughts and results have been with the harborside cut...

the ones I think are most sought after are Forum and Thin Mints cut (CookieFam cut)

I'll be watching bro... good luck!

First thanks for joining in. I'll look into those threads.

So I'm totally with you on ditching the bottles. I ran them on my outdoor and although it's finishing out nicely its been a rocky road. I have came a long way in my organic style and next season will be totally different and a more efficient way. I'm growing on a budget this first run. Indoor I really perfer my coco perlite blend, in 9x9 square pot(now smarties), drain to waste.

Sup sleeper, and vert guys and gals.. question..when u start vegging vertical , does the bulb need to be placed above the plants? Or does it need to be level with the light ?

Benzo! What's up man thanks for joining in. To answer your question, my opinion is slightly above the tops of the plant. My bulb hangs 14 1/2" above my table, the height of my clones(including containers) is 11 1/2", so my light hangs around 3" above the plants. I think it let's the plant fill its space nicely.

To further add to benzos ? The light spread come off the bottom of the bulb at like a 40 degree angle

I've decided that when I feed, I'm going to just top dress with the grow and elemental dry nuts., and water with brewed Trinity, Surge, Molasses. We'll see how they like it. If things get crazy I'll just go get ewc's and some compost to make tea with. I just can't bring myself to wasting the product I already have.

Hello fellow maximum yielders.
Ok so we've got some time to kill while these little girls get settled into their new home. I want to use the opportunity to fully introduce myself. I started growing back in Dec. 2010. My buddy, a fellow ICMager, convinced me that if I wanted to keep my setup cost minimal and still yield 1lb. then 600w vert was the way to go. It took a couple trys to finally dial it in, but I soon found out its the only was to go.

My first set up was a fucking disaster. It started with 1 d 12 Craigslist clones, that at the end of the day, I couldn't tell you if they were what they were sold to me as, so I won't get into strains yet. I planted them in straight coir and ran the Rezipe plus MagiCal(which I fully endorse). All though my equipment my right, my grow space was all wrong. It was in my garage a I made it by stapling poly to the rafters creating a 10x10x10 tent. I had moisture problems like you wouldn't believe. So I broke down and bought a legit dehumidifier just to save something outta of that crop. I threw so much PM'D weed away I barely broke even

My second grow was a little smoother. While the first disaster was under way I had built a little 3x2x4 CFL cloning/veg tent in my closet and was able to keep my DSD pheno and another strain, my biggest yielder from the first, supposedly purple urkle. This time I tore down the circus tent and got some 2x8 planks that were given to me, ripped them down to 2x4 and built a 6'x8'x8' poly line grow room. With the dehumidifier and a small space heater to turn on at night this rooms atmosphere stayed a lot more on the level. I also use some of the left over 2x8s and a few crates to build a second tier for plants.
With all that done. I stalked her with 12 around the bottom half and 12 around the top.

At the same time I placed the DSD and Urkle mothers in the back yard to give myself a little outdoor experience. Fuck it. Why not?!

As for the 24, they finished decently in June, yielding 430g. I fell a little short on the goal but I think it was because it got too crowded and I couldn't keep up with the defoiation.

In my 3rd round I tryed flowering 12 for the first 33 days then moved 12 more in the room and put the first 12 up on the 2 tier. I had such high temps in mid summer with no a/c I didn't think i'd do that good but in those 3 months I pulled a few grams over 2 lbs. It was then I knew that if I could just get a better room set up, I could rock the vert show.

With that harvest I bought some new supplies paid some bills, and temporarily shut down the indoor for a while, well I focused on finishing the outdoor and started planning for a much needed move. Btw I yielded 4lbs of my sun grown DSD. She was huge! And 2lbs 11oz. Off the Urkle.

This is were my story stopped for a whole year because I got caught up working my ass off only having spare time to sleep. Wack! Need less to say April this year I was finally able to brake free from my chains, move, and back in the garden I am.

I kicked off my new house with a outdoor potted organic GDP that the homie hooked
Specs:
30" GDP
20 gal gro pro nursery pot
Roots Organics Original

Veg:
Buddha grow
Trinity
Molasses

Bloom:
Buddha bloom
Trinity
Molasses
HPK
PURPLE MAXX
I brew each feeding for 24hrs prior. The schedule consisted of wwwfwwwf... And while in flower I applyed purple maxx at every mid watering. Ph 6.0 dechlorinated filtered water.
