Yup. Those are words I used and things I did. Well, except "attack" them. I feel that I've hardly done more than share my personal experience. They could be nice guys, I don't doubt they have friends who think so, but that wasn't how it went down for me as a retailer and a customer. There's not much more to it than that and it certainly wasn't meant to agitate you.

Looks like we would get direct from Aptus, but not from their main facility, from their US distribution center. The Aptus people in SoCal couldn't fulfill our orders. It took them weeks to put bottles in a box and send it to us. When we asked them about it at the show they weren't apologetic or friendly. Its no sweat off my back, in the last 3+ months we haven't had anyone ask for the stuff.

And saying that "you don't need to use RO" is not the same as saying "use at least dechlorinated water, but RO is good too." Not that it much matters.

Anyway... Take care and have fun with that power bill (geez! a 30% increase on that must be rough!) I found the cost of power and the quality of water in Oregon to be much, much more suited to indoor growing. Greenhouses are always a good idea, but maybe you would find a better business opportunity up there.

I was able to pick up freebie Fasilitor and StartBoost...

While they might have a decent product I didn't see the kind of crazy results from it that would justify continuing my experience with Aptus. I actually got way better root growth from GH Rapid Start over their StartBoost

Well I'm going to go out and buy some GH Rapid Start.

IME- StartBoost is a fantastic veg and rooting product. I love the stuff. I'm surprised you weren't a fan. And I think StartBoost certainly beats H and G Roots Excel in the side by sides. Especially since it seems RE changed their formula.

You didn't notice anything with using FaSilitor as well? That's another nice product in my book. Certainly the best (but most expensive) silica product on the market.

I'm running 424k watts of flower and I've been using the entire Aptus line for I don't know how long (maybe a year?) and my findings aren't in line with yours. I currently use the whole line on over 150 lamps and would expand it further but I have some recirculating systems.

I've found that several of their products are damn near unmatched in the market. I will continue to use FaSilitor, StartBoost, BloomBoost, and Ecozen for a long time. I think FaSilitor is unmatched on the market and while expensive I've seen enough to warrant it's price at least for the first half of bloom. I think Ecozen is a complex unmatched enzyme product as well. It's damn near the price of hygrozyme (would be the same if I could actually get a discount on Aptus stuff) but it's 1000x better. It's better and cheaper than AN's sensizyme as well.

IME- MassBoost is just cal-mag. And can easily replaced in their line. However, boosting calcium heavily every other week is a nice signalling technique; and I think they shouldn't have changed their feed chart to use this product every boost ($ reasons IMO). I think PeakBoost is a fine product but also easily replaceable in the line. The same is true of FinaleBoost. These are easily replaced with other PK products, the only thing smart they do is separate you P and your K while you're running. Right now I'm using Rock Resinator and maybe finishing with a half week of Blossum Builder by B'Cuzz.

This has been by experience with these products under quite a few lamps. I don't want to be a dick-rider but half their stuff is pretty damn nice. The other half...meh.

I don't know, works for me...

The line really helps the resin and quality when running something salty and basic like Canna Coco A and B

I looked online but the schedule is pretty confusing. I can get my head round it but I'm thinking most people will screw it up

Use 12:4:5 ml / gal as your base of New Millennium and you can kill it with Aptus.

12- Seasonal input, (Summer or Autumn)

4- Equinox (it's the calcium and essentially the B in an A and B feed with NM)

5- Ruby Ful (it's the best fulvic on the market)

Can't be beat guys.

I just stuck with the Facilitator. You dont need the whole line up. That facilitator is worth every penny though.

What PPM/EC does this mix come out to? Do you use RO?

I use dechlorinated water. That mix is low EC. It's like 800-900 ppm .5 scale. And my water starts at 180 ppm.

You have less salt with NM than with most other lines because the salts are super soft and taken up by the roots a lot easier and there's plenty of organic inputs in the seasonal stuff as well.

How does NM behave in the res over time?

The rooms I've rocked on it so far were my hand fed stuff not my flood and drain tables. I did just move it to those as well but only like a week ago. So far the EC is super low on them and it hasn't been dropping a whole bunch throughout the week. Like I could see them eat the Canna A and B. After 4 days I'd have to nute up and top off. So far on the NM in flood and drain they haven't need to be nuted up just topped off. But I'm only a week in so maybe it's just the stage of the plants. So far everything's perfect, I was just told not to use drip clean with it because there's a chelate in the seasonal stuff that keeps salts really soft. So next time i won't add any of that but beyond that onward and upward.

It doesn't get all nasty like organics if that's what you're asking. I had to take OrganaGuano out of my flood tables a few months ago for that reason...

And I'm happy using dechlorinated water. If I was above 200 ppm I would consider RO but I don't want to pay to take out everything on 2,500-3,000 gallons a day just to pay to add it back in the form of equinox or cal-mag.

Good to know thanks.

I run trays of coco dtw and like to mix my base for a week. Each room has a 600 gallon main tank w/ base and tea and a 100 gallon for the Aptus feed days 1-2x a week. Been running H16 for a few years and with Aptus lately. May have to give New Millenium a try.

The Startboost seems a little expensive from Aptus, it costs $1,150 a gallon? I have used it, as well as CannaBoost, and Golden Tree and I did not notice any difference between the 3. Canna-Boost is a third the price at $400 a gallon and Golden Tree is 1/5 the price at $220 a gallon here http://Humboldtssecret.com and it seems to be the best price for what I got.

Btw, Holy crap, that is a lot of lights, and a hell of a lot of ballasts on that ceiling on page #1!

Startboost and Canna boost are not meant to be the same so how are you trying to compare them bud?.

WTF is golden tree ??

What???

startboost is a rooting agent used in veg, and cannaboost is a flower stimulator..? Both great products but hardly comparable

Further more, if you were to try and compare these products;

-cannaboost has an application rate of 8ml - 16ml per gallon

-startboost has and application rate of 1ml per gallon

Not familiar with golden tree, but always open to new products if they can prove better

Have you been getting much ph drift with H16 over the course of a week?

Have you been getting much ph drift with H16 over the course of a week?

Depends. If I'm just running base not much drift at all. I usually start out at 5.5 and let it go up to 6.0-6.2 before knocking it back down. Usually just once over a week and by the time it's back up it's time for a new batch. I usuall add tea halway through the week at 2 cups per 10 gallons. It drift up faster with the tea.

Now if I use the whole H16 line(roots, final and prime) it drifts more. Mainly because of the Prime i think. Also the lower my res gets the more it drift up, I have a lot of air in the res. Water gets warmr faster when it lower which also raises ph.

I just ran out of Aptus so I'm on the whole H16 line this week. I'm sad to say I dont think the girls are as happy. I've been having to use a higher base ppm w/o Aptus also. Don't get me wrong they're doing great just not quite the same. Hope that helps.

I've been following this thread now for a little while checking out everyone's input.

I've heard about this New Millenium line generating a steadily growing amount of buzz in the industry from experienced growers putting it to the test.

We've talked to some of the guys' who sell the line down in Denver, and it seems to have a healthy amount of hype generated around it. We hear that the guy who developed it had a helping hand in 3-Part GH, Botanicare, and has even been approached by Canna......from what we hear.

Looks like Green In the Thumb is killing with it.
