Well It's been 3 hours and I just tested the Chlorine levels in the system. It's holding above 2 ppm which is a good sign. The exact level of chlorine is 2.25 PPM. I will continue checking every 3 hours for now and monitor levels. I've added the list from above as well:

9/16 - 4 am - added 1.5 mL Clorox Bleach - Chlorine levels were 2 PPM

9/17 - 4 pm - added 2 mL Clorox Bleach - Chlorine levels were 2.57 PPM

9/17 - 7 pm - Chlorine levels were 2.25 PPM

9/17 - 10 pm - Chlorine levels were 2.05 PPM

9/18 - 1 am - Chlorine levels were 1.76 PPM

Stardog Update
Today is day 7 Flower in the tent. All of the plants are pretty much growing at the same rates. I will talk more about the Motorbreaths later on into flowering and there's plenty of threads about my BYTCH so it's really all about the Stardogs. Here's a couple pictures of what's going on inside:
picture.php
picture.php

And a picture of all 3 Stardogs:
picture.php

KK Stardog is all the way on the left of the screen, #6 is the top middle and the one on the right of the picture is #9. As you can see the #9 and the #6 really bush out more than the KK. The #6 is just a beast with thicker stems and she can really drink a lot of solution.

More to follow in a minute....

Stardog Update Continued
Lets begin by comparing the KK Stardog to the other 2 phenotypes that were found in seed by a friend of mine who gave me these cuts. The KK doesn't bush out like the other 2 ones do and the KK also drinks much less water than the rest of them. They can all handle my usual formula for most plants and don't show problems. They are pretty easy to grow as well. The #6 has a much thicker branch structure but is not as wide as #9. The KK and the #6 have a more similar structure to each other although the KK has much thinner stems than the #6. The KK also stretches more than the #9 in the flowering cycle. Here's some pictures to show what I'm talking about:

picture.php

This first picture is a comparison between the KK on the left compared to the #9 on the right. Look at how much more space the #9 takes up in the picture above.

The 2 pictures below is a comparison between the KK on the left and the #6 on the right:

Look at how big #6 is compared to KK in the 2 pictures above. This #6 looks like it can hold a good amount of flowers and is very vigorous.

Out of 15 plants on this tray, I already lost 3 so far but things aren't looking good. The Chlorine via Clorox Bleach does not seem to be helping. The roots by this point should be exploding out of the bottom of the net pots but there is not a lot of roots coming out of the bottom. The tray holds an extra 3 plants so that means that I really need the rest of them to survive.

The last trick up my sleeve was done about 15 minutes ago. I took 3 gallons of 60 F degree water and put it into a 5 gallon bucket. Then I added:

12 mL GH FloraMicro
18 mL GH FloraBloom
5 mL GH pH Down
9 mL 29% H202

My pH was 5.8. I dunked each pot for about 20 seconds. I really hope that this fixes the problem but time will tell. From my odds, it looks like I have a 25% chance of this tray working out but I will know more in the next couple of days.

I will most likely do another dunk in a new solution above tonight. I will also change out the whole REZ but I won't be adding H202 in the REZ. Instead, to the 16.5 gallon REZ, I will add:

66 mL Technaflora B-1 Red
66 mL GH FloraMicro
99 mL GH FloraBloom
25 mL GH pH down

We will see what happens.

Hey Hey Snype, dropped in to see your leaves! Nice leaves and plants. Ive had good success with things like root rot with Streptomyces lydicus. It is even something you could add after your bleach/chlorine experiments to prevents against further outbreaks. Its good to keep your nose active in the garden helps find these things early. Many puffs to you sir stardawg #9 looks sooo healthy love the leaf shape wow

Thanks Ellie! Did you experience root rot and then Streptonyces lydicus killed it for you and your plants became healthy? Or did you lose that crop to rot and the next crop was fine? Just wondering what your experience was with that product. I'm on my last bullet right now so I need more ammo.

put h2o2 in the system ! i use 17.5% at half a mil per litre ,yours is stronger so will be less, also look at those roots pull any soft ones off,and check the system for bits of root and slime! jobs a good un .goodluck
these are things i would do and have done to get rid of root rot and it worked obviously every situation is different ,if i remember the plants grew a bit slow after and never yielded as much, but did not die !

Good One! My formula called for a stronger dose. It's just a formula that I found online a while back. There seems to be an improvement from the dunks that I've been doing every 2 hours with 29% H202. I don't want to speak too soon yet but I'm starting to get more hopeful on this tray. I used 9 mL of 29% H2O2 into 3 Gal (11.37 Liters) of solution.

I'm only doing dunks in a bucket with an air stone. I'm not going to keep H202 in the REZ. I've had bad experiences with killing plants that way so I will try the B1-Red after more dunks tonight. Plus H202 doesn't stay long after pouring it into a REZ. You would have to add it everyday and I don't have enough for that.

I've been dunking the pots every 2 hours in the H2O2 solution that I made yesterday. I did around 5 dunks and the plants looked somewhat better. It looked like new white roots wanted to come out but we will see how it goes. I've decided to chill out on the H2O2 for now and cleaned out the 16.5 gallon rez and filled it with tap water and:

66 mL Technaflora B-1 Red
66 mL GH FloraMicro
99 mL GH FloraBloom
25 mL GH pH down

I'm flooding every 2 hours and will see how the roots look in the afternoon. Hopefully I see some progress.

The tent is going crazy! The plants look like they are getting too big. I was surprised because I didn't think I vegged them long enough but I did. Today is day 9 of flowering and I hope they start to slow down their stretch fairly soon. Temperatures are not hot at all because I leave the bedroom window wide open to get nice cool outside air. The light is set to the 750 Watt setting. This is a test crop so there will be no records broken for yields. Anything over a pound of different pheno's will be very lovely! With the size of these plants though, it's possible to see around 2 pounds. The Stardogs are looking very nice!

I'm fairly certain that the H202 dunks had a good affect on the root rot. I'm going to let the B-1 treatment ride for 1 more day and see how the roots are doing. If I don't see some improvement, I will go back to H2O2 dunks. Here are picture of yesterday as I was giving H2O2 treatments:

And here are pictures of 24 hours after the treatments:

It's hard to see the improvement, but you can see the new white tips of the roots growing from some of the brown roots. Some of you think that this may not look that bad but these have been in the VEG-A system for 8 days now and these plants would have died going into RDWC in this condition. Things are no where over yet and hopefully I get this fixed fast. Here's what the roots are supposed to look like at this stage in VEG-A:

Now you can see why this is a problem that I have to solve fast!

This morning I took some of the harvested outdoor off of the lines and placed them into paper bags to start their sweat. When I finished I went outside to give some horses a few carrots and apples. The weather was foggy and just a tiny bit of rain added with the morning dew. I observed how healthy my BYTCH was doing as her early trichs caught my eye. She's been outdoors for 35 days as of today. As I drank my coffee and smoked 2 cigarettes while observing my BYTCH, I thought to myself how lucky I am to be in the position.

Today if the weather is right, Snypette is going to ride one of the horses and later we will go fishing and try and catch a nice meal. What a great change from the old city life!
