So it's the H&G base that kills the taste and smell or the boosters? Could I use H&G base with Aptus Boosters?
Hi Eko
When I reuse coco i pull what roots I can out then I drench it with fulvic acid and ecozen
We spend all that money creating a biological breeding so to throw it away doesnt make any sense.
If your using heavy salts then you will need to let the coco rest. 1 load in the room being used and 1 load resting., then 1 load being prepared to go in the next cycle
I use all the Aptus boosters along with the base boost pellets but I'm running tests at the moment with a whole bunch of different bases.

What is that thing called that is supposed to be creating Co2?
The hanging metal box is a natural gas CO2 generator. The fancy lookin thing is a biowave which doesn't create CO2.
So what's up Dutch Touch? any news? maybe we could even be bless with some new photos?!
what up DT..how are those GSC coming along got any flowering canopy pics?
Dutch touch - I saw a biowave in one of your pics. Can you tell me what kind of experiences you have had with this product? It boasts 20 % yields and reduced insect pressure. Whats your thoughts?
Oh my god, my dutch friend.
I pull my hat of and bow for you
This thread is awesome.
bless
Hey Dutch , we have bio waves at one of our facilities.......they generate a frequency that plants dig. I can't tell a diff between rooms that have it vice versa. Also it repels some insects. Peace d t
yea GSC is a low feeder...the less the better. at week 7 it should be given nothing but water.
Hey DT, Killer grow setup dude. I'm uber jealous.
I am a product specialist for an online retailer and have had a lot of interaction with Aptus when I added them to the site. The problem we found was with their distributor being unable to get anything into our warehouse. We ultimately had to drop the line because being unable to fulfill orders was making the company look bad... Really sad too, the customers of ours that did hang tough had to wait a month on them to deliver and have not returned.
I was able to pick up freebie Fasilitor and StartBoost in March, but at the Max Yield Garden Expo in SF over the summer the reps were pretty douchey and didn't want anything to do with me. They tried pushing their "for humans" line at a garden show harder than their "for plants" line... I dunno. I even took it upon myself to introduce the CANNA guys to the Aptus guys, spoke about my experience with both, and still got cold shouldered out of the conversation by Aptus. While they might have a decent product I didn't see the kind of crazy results from it that would justify continuing my experience with Aptus. I actually got way better root growth from GH Rapid Start over their StartBoost and I'm not really a believer in RO filtered water either so the Fasilitor isn't quite my cup of tea (but water conditioners like that and Z7 from Flying Skull are starting to take off).
I think they have a great business model though. They looked at what Advanced Nutrients, Cyco, HVY, all those guys make mad cash on the additives. People know that salts are just salts, so there's really no money to make on a base. So they tout some supplements at a crazy high cost and are probably killing it on their margins. It is what it is, and if it works for you then by all means. I am not trying to be negative against them but this seemed like as good a place as any to share my experiences with Aptus.
Maybe you and I are speaking to different Aptus reps.
I met them at a fews show now and they have always super informative and super cool.
Thanks for the love showed to my set.
Maybe it is the right place to state your experience with us but....... If you say Aptus is mad about the cash then I'm sure they would of made sure are always fully stocked. hhmmmmmm
I would back up your story a little more before jumping on the Aptus hater wagon
I have done true side by sides with every root product and startboost came out top then root excel
Try reading the Aptus books that they give out it tell says you dont need to use R/O thats one of the first benefits I found.
Good luck
And seriously... You're killing it! Keep up the good work.

I think Aptus would have liked to stock us, but it was up to the distributor and not Aptus. I don't know the specifics of why they couldn't deliver, but it certainly was not because they are cool without making a profit. They are a business, and if you look at their product line a smart one at that.
I'm not really an Aptus hater, their bloom boosters might be the tits and I really can't say either way... I just had a sort of sour experience with them. But, if given the chance to test out more of the product line I'd be certain to give them a fair chance in spite of the past.
Do you mean this Aptus book? The one where they are constantly talking about Pure, Fresh, Clean water and say to use at the least dechlorinated water but that RO water is fine as long as you use more of their products??? Yeah... I read it.
Cool thread, can you give just a rough idea/estimate of the monthly power bill? The biggest indoor grow I've ever managed was 12kW and the juice we were sucking was ridiculous. I can't even begin to imagine 334kW. Hope you got some solar panels heh.
