'get outa my head',This is exactly what i am planning on doing next, scrapped the othr 5 by 5 tent idea for now,and built a 120 by 240 for 2 smaller 400 watt racks,although it wont use as many plant numbers,only 12-16 per 4 by 4 square/but now theres the whole KIDDIE POOL in my head so maybe one rack and one pool/cant make up my mind yet!u know!it will be much easier keeping the bootom pool cool,'like the sunken rez,coz its so much bigger than the bottom of a 5gallon,and multiple plants will share the nutes and water volume..this is all still just a thought....

dry weight was a little shy of 3 elbows ,i am very pleased to say the least!next round i will aim at one ounce dry/per plant..no rush at all,chillin and taking my time!my new beans are being shipped at this very moment,il keep it a surprise for now..

I needed more picture space when my main handle was under a year old.
So I cloned it.

Now Im working on the 1000 post mark for this one...

Funny x 2... I just Saw a handle registered in 2004 with 7 post asking about miracle grow.. lol 7 post in 9 years..

Think I'm around 3000 just into my 2nd year. .
That's not counting my 1 handle (Yeps420>Nuked it and picked up AD. .
I may be having fun but there are real goals I'm trying to achieve.

It's this PPK that runs itself and frees up all this time for me to come up with new ideas. ..


Blame D9 For making the PPK so easy to use. ..
If I had to do all the normal maintenance. Id still be rocken air pots. .lol

You know what they say 'you teach best what you most need to learn' and i see you been trail blazing,along the way i/others pic up on info and sometimes SPARKS fly!seriously the pools are cool idea ,they can almost be adapted to any style of growing,even ebb and flow....think many holes drilled out the bottom ,then sitting in another pool not flipped over though with the ebb and flow attachment flooding ,now you're flooding the entire pool not individual pots....u see WHAT u den started!,lol,endless options!

The plants or roots must be grown in the pools.
Which ever way you like.
Can't just use a pool as a catch tray for run off..
Or have 6 air pots sitting in a empty pool, lol. ..

I was thinking of starting a poll in the contest section.
Asking who might be up for the challenge ...

Im thinking of making a beefy lazy suzan out of steel and welder to sustain the weight of the pool full of watered soil or hydroton and I have a new extra bbq rotisserie motor that plugs in 110v and is 3rpm I will use to rotate the pool and hang a 1k vert in a cool tube with my 6" vortex fan pulling at the top.

Use mdf board to make 2 rings one bigger to make a 360 trellis screen stand and run 6 plants.

The hydroton would be cool too. Make a big watering ring with strait nipples shooting down and a drain in the middle of the bottom and have enough flow to cause a 3" puddle up so its like a rdwc and some airstones.

No lazy suzan tho unless I could make a copper slide circle sustainable to power the pumps and keep rotating.

Or maybe wire 2 switches to the rotisserie and have it rotate 180 and reverse?

Anywho stoner ramble over.

My pool holds about 20 gallons, so that's about 150 Lbs.
Doable with steel LS. . Wow factor..

Maybe its time someone should start making some grow pools with lips for a lid and net pots. Maybe a little thicker.

Tyere are different sizes so we would need to figure which one as a standard. Amd lighting I would think wouod depend on pool size/grow area?

I dont see any cfl worriors of or 400watters dipping into a kiddie pool challange. I just see 1k being the best option for the size of the foorprint or 2 600s at th least. Also I plan to do vert and 2 different mediums for shits n giggles. Thinking coco and rdwc both vert with 6 plants and a 360 trellis net and lazy suzan if possible.

I think having the plants rotate around the light would make a huge difference especially at low speed.

You can COUNT me in!,ive had alot of free time on my hands since the grow has been down,so ya,lots of research and lurking,and changing my mind!,....but i guess i saw a simple solution ,thats GOING to run itself,no stress finally.

if im not online ,'you no il be gettin my toes wet' ,building the pools,lol!

yeah for sure this build is gonna be pure fun and experimentation!!

im still deciding whether a 400 watt or 600 w in the 4 by 4,regardless my design holds 8 pots,but with the HUGE res in the bottom LIKE U mentioned beneficial in, flower!

the kiddie pools can be use horizontally as well,thats whats so awesome!not much chaniging besides locating your holes around the outer diameter,or one big whole in the middle,for one tree!,lol,...'think that 4 plant 5 light setup with kiddies!/hell even the desert hydro setup could be adjusted to the pools!they look like they cover the footprintof a 1000w nicely,

THE lip is the bitch,when flipped over,but here are ways,until someone mass produces and makes some!,for now POLSTYRENE boards cut a little bigger and wrapped in panda will work fine!,little velcro here and there.

-IM JUST gonna drill out holes in the bottom pool,in 4 equally spaced parts around the top,like a CLOCK(12,3,6,9) the top pool will rest on these pvcpipes placed through,then ,the overflow will be set just under that level, which will also be the level of the pots ,once sunken into the reservoir.

i used to run a lazy susan made out of osb and a industrial bearing.the osb was 42 inch circle and i had 2 600's on a bracket screwed in the center.i ran from 4 to 8 vert racks made out of wood that i could screw to the osb for no tipping!i needed it to train the plants on the far side of the donut since room was 48 inches by 10 feet.
