I am using the GO line via the starter box, alotta goodies, and they do seem to help a lot. Hella easy too, with no PH'ing necessary (Unless your source waters way off...). Good start I would say, and it's doing me well so far. I would add perlite regardless, as most mediums take longer to dry under L.E.D., and coco stay's pretty damp IME.

Crazyb is right. You joined in 07. Have a total of 76 post as of now, 66 of which are currently posted in this thread. It seems you ALOT of super basic questions about growing. I'm no mathematician, but this doesn't add up. If you're truly serious about growing, read this book FIRST. Then ask questions:

Good luck.

Distilled/Reverse Osmosis water have nothing in it but H2O. Tap water has elements like cal/mg that are important for the plant and how the pH and everything works. If you absolutely have to use it as a water source then you need to make sure to amend your soil/feed to account for that. A 5 gallon jug of RO water is about a $1-2 at many stores that let you fill your own containers. Its not too much if you have a small area--maybe 3-10 gallons a week, but its usually not needed unless you have a serious water problem. Sometimes a well can be contaminated with bacteria and stuff that your plants don't like, but that seems to be a rare occurrence.

Check to see how your tap water works before you think about spending the extra money and effort.

Yeah it's got Cal-Mag, and it should last you longer than a couple cycles if you feed them properly (Ie, not every watering, lol, a common beginner mistake.). I only meant using outside water sources if the ones available are chlorinated, or if their PH is extremely imbalanced (Like a 1-3 or 9+, and while you can adjust the PH, I myself don't trust sources that are extremely imbalanced for fear of PH creep and associated PH problems...). I use tap water with a starting PH of 7 (Faucet water...), de-chlorinate via solar still, and the PH stay's around 6.3 after the chlorine's burned off. Never PH'd after mixing the GO nute's since they state that the PH will change, and it is required to sustain certain microbial life.

Would you mind using a bit more punctuation? Thats one long jacked up sentence.

The learning curve on organics is a bit steeper than regular nutrients. I always recommend people start with regular then convert to organic slowly once you have a bit more experience. Soil will be a bit more forgiving than coco, as coco will require you to supply all the nutrients, soil can break down and feed the plants somewhat.

Speaking of breaking down, I would recommend some sort of enzym product like cannazym. That will help break down stuff for the plant to absorb, like all the dead root material that sheds off as the roots grow.

Theres a big misconception out there that organic is just so much better tasting, but flavor comes from the skill of the gardener. I think most people are wasting their time and money with organic thinking its the only way to get quality results. I use all coco with Canna nutrients (simple, not loaded with a bunch of crap) and autofeed with blumat and get consistently great results. Total nutrient costs are around 12-25 cents per gram. $200 in coco should last me about 2 years if I reuse it 5-6 times.

Did you buy those foxfarm products? Looking closer at them, the nutrients say nothing about being organic, but there is one pictured in that link you posted a few pages back. Or did you just say you got something else? Sorry, its hard to understand a lot of what your saying.
