hey SL yeah they are a new one, the multi chips i think could be a real winner. More watts for less money.

the plants are coming along nicely. i only re-amended my recycled soil with a tiny bit of N guano as i had a feeling it was still quite rich - and the plants seem happy so far.

i can already see that the pinamite (hope i'm spelling that correctly) is the easier cut to scrog, whearas the amnesia is a little more reluctant to branch out and the lead shoots are hanging on to their apical dominance. next time i would top this a couple of times to get more branches during veg.

pics soon, its been a busy summer and it was lovely today to get a bit of time to train the screens without it being a mad rush

VG - Do you use Mychorizae Fungi at all?

I'm thinking of using a sprinkle as I up-pot (in contact with roots). Do you think it's worth adding it the soil mix completely as well?

Looking lush as always...enjoy your writing too...nice and humble updates.

hey HM, i dont use myco at present but i would like to try it at some point. my research tells me that it's somewhat hit and miss trying to use it with cannabis. afaik its best to dust the roots when the plant is as young as possible - unless the spores are in contact with roots it wont work

about 8 days in and the screens are starting to fill up and take shape. you can see some residue from mite spraying on the leaves. i should be able to spray them another once or twice before they bud up.

most myco products are hit and miss as far as assimilation to roots and such. thats why its important to find a product with a very broad spectrum of endo and ecto as well as trichoderma. Great White mycorrhizae is pretty damned good. its like GH's Subculture B and M all in one. or like AN's "piranha, tarantula, and voodoo juice all in one.

in fact its more varied in species than both sub culture b and m, and an's smorgasbord.

thanks couchlocd!

hey HM are you UK? check the UK amendments sticky in organic soil, a guy called jaded1 posted a link to some myco he said was much better than rootgrow with a higher spore count.

I've had good luck with Mykos from xtreme gardening. It's completely eliminated transplant shock for me and increased plant health and yield notably in my organic soiless mix. The spores seem to be of good quality and colonize the roots rapidly once in contact.

They sell it in a big bag rebranded as Pumpkin Pro but it's the same thing, spores of a single species, glomus intraradices. Their reasoning is that too many mycorrhizae compete with each other, and one good all-around species is better to dominate the microherd in the short time period of flowering.

Curious how this light works for you. Still going with a couple 63 watt 1st gen here.

My Rainbow Bloom Mix has mycos in it, no idea if it helps.

almost forgot to mention. VERDANT GREEN, you are a beast, bro. going gpw with leds. hell to make that mark with a hid is somewhat hard-ish.

anyway i read damned near every page of all you threads, you inspired me to do a scrog. it never made sense to me until i saw a master do it (your threads) then i had to do it. thanks for the info

3 weeks in and they have pretty much topped out - with half an inc of height to spare im winning!

pinamite, the screen needs tidying up and the buds spacing a bit better but this should be fine. kind of going for a mini stadium effect with each screen to make the most of the reflected light etc.

the amnesia has stretched a little more and looks more untidy, but it should shape up just great when i get a minute to sort it out.

Hey VG.

Just purchased some organic potash in mini pelleted form. The NPK is 2-2-20, and it's a by-product of the sugar beat industry.

Yep I'm UK based.

it was the modular thing that made me take the plunge.

i was always like "cant do that style, cant have the plants stuck in a position. i need to move them around.

closet measures 5x2 ft. with 3.5 feet x 2 actually available for plant pots. the other foot and a half is filled with co2 tanks intake vents and such. so i gotta be able to move them. and this was the ticket.

fwiw, im doing a scrog in a counter display sun hut. with either a 65watt cfl or a 50 watt hps.
