I'm relatively new to the internet forums, but I don't think I've ever seen a plant that is so universally loved?

Spinosad doesnt do much for mites. If your budding, its all about holding them off the best you can. I stay away from neem most of the time because of the odor. I do spray buds with water with some drips of essencial oils in it and maybe 30% ISO, and a spoon of Dr Bronners Hemp oil peppermint soap. The oils I use are Lavender, Rosemary, and peppermint. You will find them in the health food store. Mites hate them. Too much Alcohol will melt your trichomes, and burn your buds. Too much oils will melt trichomes as well.

rubbing alcohol and q tips, wipe the underside of every leaf you can get to followed by a plain ro water rinse...but i think i has some kind of pussy ass houseplant mites since they stuck to one pheno of one strain, once those were gone i cleaned the room with several products, put up new reflectix, sprayed it with lysol, like a couple cans worth, cleaned the room again, got one of those home barrier insect sprays and did the house perimeter, bleached the crap out of the surrounding area in the garage, bug sprayed that, put a perimeter of boric acid powder around the flower room, cleaned and bleached the entire house, put baking soda down on the carpets and let that sit a spell before vacuuming it up....

some people swear by that mitey wash stuff....

Not while budding

Not while budding

The only time I would consider Avid is when the plants are pre bud. Thats nasty stuff and it lasts along time. Thats why its for ornamentals. That said, I have used it. It did take out the Mendo Mites I aquired. It is a full on Miticide. It will take out all spiders.
