Drying room too hot, any way to compensate

Hi,

My drying room was too hot today (86F).
I bought a portable ac unit just now from local store, so I should be able to keep temps under control for the next 5-6 or so days of drying.

If I run my temps in the low 60's for a couple of days, can that make up for the full day of too much heat?

you should be fine... just keep an eye on humanity keep her around 50 to 65 percent.

If you have an A/C cooling the room down to the 60's, it's also going suck a lot of the humidity out too. And when it drops to 40% things get crispy fast,

So make sure you keep an eye on temp and humidity. And it's a pain, but you're gonna have to turn the a/c off and on depending on humidity and temp to find a balance. Unless you have a controller I suppose.

Peace

I have a bedroom with large closet. I use a window unit AC, a dehumidifier, a humidifier, and an exhaust fan.

When drying bud, I set the AC at 80F, the humidifier 55%, the dehumidifier at 65%. Twice a day, for 15 minutes, I exhaust the room with a 6" centrifugal fan thru a carbon filter into the attic. Works well. Good luck. -granger
