Thank you for the constructive input. I will support Canadian manufacturers and buy Canadian made trimmers. That you, by the way, have never used.
Besides, don't you know that any machine needs an operator (living or electronic)

yeah, the most popularr model for commercial operation in northern california is 'the twister'. Its loud, obnoxious, and takes many people to run, in fact with the ammount of people and pace you need to run a scene with a few twisters, you could have a nice peaceful trim crew. It would take a few days longer, but the end product and the karma attached will be much better.

i can give more detailed reasons as to why i think they suck ass. hehe...imho of course

was looking at a twister, Think there would be any resale value on one shipping outta canada to someone in California a year from now?

Lol, GS you make me smile.
Its quite sad to see how many people have bowl style trimmers confused with barrel type.
Where does the negative karma associated with trim machines come in?
As I've said before - to each their own. Trim with people or equipment - whatever tickles your fancy.

I have sampled buds from barrel types bowl types super whirly blade types they all suck compared to a hand trim. Hand trim = no busted bruised trichs. bottom line people are robots!{perspective/lsd} Just a few thoughts from this old craggled mountain dweller troll hippie anarchist preacher, it sure is good to be free.

Vapor, do your trimmers hold the bud suspended in the air using a telepathic force of some sort? I would imagine that finger hash qualifies as "lost" trichomes.
On a subject of people being "robots" - people experience fatigue, their performance fluctuates throughout the work day. If you find a machine that fits your needs - it replaces a number of people and all of the bs associated with managing them.
I would be very surprised if many LPs ran trimmer crews rather than machines once the new program begins in April.

in the new program, trimmers will need a security clearance...many trimmers I know have criminal records, so it'll be back to the underground ;)

New revelation, you can hold the stem and not the bud = less scissor hash.

Just another reason to grow your own. Peace GS

It also comes down to what you like....

Me, I prefer the LOOK of hand manicured and line dried....But it takes 1/3 longer than just breaking up the colas and screen drying.

Honestly you get just as stoned from the screen dried buds that I breakdown due to the colas being to fat to evenly dry.

Machine trimmed...same thing, but you get a lot more popcorn, and it seems like "almost" shake..tiny pieces of bud... Some people like this better due to no big STEMS..

I grow for myself so I screen and line dry...

But as I add lights to sock away some extra meds for when the reg's change I will be doing more screen drying and less line drying...

FYI I am smoking Screen dried late harvest WW, and it definately has done the trick....

? Trimmers dont need security clearance ?

Nope.

Security clearance required

24. The following persons must hold a security clearance:

(a) the senior person in charge;
(b) the responsible person in charge;
(c) if applicable, the alternate responsible person in charge;
(d) if a producer’s licence is issued to an individual, that individual; and
(e) if a producer’s licence is issued to a corporation, each officer and director of the corporation.

So does every bud that you process look like a lolly-pop or do you eventually trim the stem off? Wouldn't the trimmer have to hold the bud to do that?
Anyways, keep smoking your untrimmed elite strains GS
