But I have another question this one less dumb,..I think. Has anyone used a 150w MH in their flowering room? My local Home Depot doesn't seem to stock the HPS version

It will work. Theres just a little more heat and a little less yield but the quality of bud will be great as long as genetics allow.

Love this thread, it brought me back to indoor growing when I first saw it on OG. 150w in a NGB sure can get the job done for a single smoker.

Would this work with a 400w mh/hps with cool tube? I want to shoot for longer veg times and denser canopy with enough wattage to grow buds as thick and dense as i want

I'm thinking about building a cab myself, question is one flowering cab at 90cm height (60W LEDs) or two at 45cm (2x 30W LEDs)? (width and depth: 45x45cm)

I love the NGB cab, I built my first one way back when I ran across his thread on OG.
I adapted my latest one with 4x55w PLLs. has worked out great

I made the bat-wing reflector out of metal flashing from Lowes... screwed it to the top of the box. Then I made some round rings to fit around my bake-a-round glass cooltube out of a metal hanger and bent loops into the end. Got some screw hooks, screwed them into the top of the box and slid the rings around the tube and hooked the loops through the screw hooks. The ducting is 4 inch. 78-82 degrees is the avg temp in a box like this. I would post a pic, but the box I made has been disposed of. Oh the air intakes would have a 1 inch 90 degree elbow pvc covering each hole on the inside as well. With my revised version of the NGB box.. you can get some nice fat rock hard nugs and lots of them.. with one plant or up to 5-6.. Just flower early and be sure to train them around the cool tube in front and back of he box.. I had to squeeze my big bitches back in there after watering, but it was worth the extra effort every time..

Can you give your dimension for your cab? including the height of the lamp from the soil?
