Too early for humic acid?

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Hey everyone :tiphat:

I'm on day 8 from the seeds popping up from the soil. I'm wondering how long should I wait to give a watering with a low dosage of humic acid? The product is
Nutri Tech Life Force Instant Humus...according to the documentation its %70 Humic acids and %8.8 potassium.

I'm assuming if there was no K it would be fine to do so early on, but because of the K should I wait another week or so?

I add humic with every watering of a compost tea. Foliar, and soil drench.

Your seedlings should not need any supplements of that type so early. They have very little demand at this point.

A very light watering with Kelp meal is most likely your best bet with a touch of Fish Hydrolysate.

And in the future check out BioAg. They have the best products there and you would be amazed at the results.

a wormcasting slurry or tea should suffice for nutrient and humate demands of such a young seedling

And to be honest if you had mixed a 50 to 50% mix of EWC and peat you should need nothing for those seedlings at this time.

Thanks guys. Well I wasn't able to source EWC or other humates locally. The only thing I found was this humic acid. The plants are doing fine for the moment, I don't think they NEED anything, but I thought they could benefit from some humates as early on as possible.

I think I'll wait a week or so before giving them a light mix.

Is the only what you need.:blowbubbles:

Keep on growing :)

I just gave some humid acid to my seedlings in rapid rooters last night and this morning they are kicking ass. Seems like they grew a set of leaves in less than 8 hours.
Humid acid is the shiz for seedlings
