So can anyone tell me what exactly og is and what makes a strain og?
Normally I see stretchy, low yirlding plants, dense nugs, lemon is usually in the taste description. What else?

Not yet just got back from socal, with her,yesterday, looking to verify this one, looking for pics or some type of reference to compare to,
in order to have the OG moniker applied to a cut i feel it must possess the main classic terpenes of OG kush, but have that classic lemon fuel pinesol funk that we all know but its hard to describe sometimes...
theres an "Alien OG" going around the bay right now that smells nothing like OG, i dont even want to call it OG kush, if anything its on the bubba side of the spectrum but has candy hints to it. great herb but not OG....apparently its SFV OG x Alien Kush.

I hear you.. Haven't seen too much sfv on the boards lately.. slauson garden posted a few pics on page 3 of this thread of the sfv and others.. Check it out
a lot of Aliens have the Indica features with hints on sweetness
SFV and 818 look and grow identical , but 818 is much darker when she's dry compared to sfv's light green color , there tall strechy and skinny mostly 3 bladed some 5 blades on a long veg or near flowering, dense little oily pinesol nuggs , the older OG's seem'd to have more essential oils the the later cross's of og's ... SFV is a lot like 91Chem ... In y Opin..
Anyone know what the deal with "cakebatter og" is? Smoked some recently, not really grown too well but still very enjoyable. Some very very sweet terps with that good old og smell...God damn there are so many og's.

From what I understand that's typical when using wild child type genetics (land race/cultivar type stuff) in breeding. They like to take over and dominate. They're survivors.
