harry i meant circulate the rez small pump inside to create a ripple on the water(best way to add oxygen)

canna suggest 2.5ml per litre of cannazyme increasing towards the end if your reusing the media

i just keep it simple harry if i used it i would go through loads of it 10ltr a grow when i tried it i didnt see much difference not a significant amount to warrant buying that much for each grow

My bad again FOG. I meant I use 1.2 ml per litre. ( I'm used to mixing up 10 litre buckets with 12 ml per bucket.

So you don't use any enzymes at alll? To be honest, I've just been sticking it in the mix once a week since I started withou giving it much thought.

How many times do you feed over 24 hours?

On the subject of oxygenating the feed, I read on that sticky thread on the coco board about coco slabs with drippers not to worry about oxygenating the rez coz the lil drips pick up oxygen from the air as they fall from the emitters. What are your thoughts?

My worry is about rising ph in the rez with aerating it. I kow it's what a lot do but keeping the rez healthy and dialed is something new for me.

I got a pump circulating at the bottom of the tank. It's too small so I got a bigger one on order.

I use it on long term moms only I do a double dose once a fortnight I use the aptus enzyme more bang for your buck

I do 3 cycles early then 5 to 6 from wk4 of flower

best practice when you start out with this method is check your ec runoff if your ec is more than two points higher than what your feeding add another cycle

I love your set up I bought exactly the same air cooled power plant reflectors a year or so ago and I think they are great. its ok using drippers I prefer the more hands on approach if I can hand water I will... the biggest problem is getting the timing right per feed but im sure your probably on it already. I flooded mine a couple of times getting it sussed.

good luck mate:)

@ Willy. You tag along, Man. All welcome here! I can't find that timer converter thing online right now but when lights are on I'll check the make and let you know. All I remember was that I only found one place stocking it.

@ FOG. Thanks for your advice. I'll check on that run off. One more ? if you don mind - are all your feeds during lights on?

@ Sifted Unity. I like these air cooled hoods. I found no decrease in yield when I moved to them. I'm wondering how they'll be when I run 1000 watts rather than 600 through them.
I'm done with the hand watering! The whole rez/dripper thing will take a while to get right but it's the only way for me to go now.
Thanks for your good wishes - don't understand how you got neg rep for that but I've dropped you some positive just to even things out a lil!

The timer converter thing is made by Nutriculture, and it is called the TMU, Timer Modifying Unit. Last time I looked Progrow was selling them. I prefer the Ecotechnics minute timers myself, but have used a TMU with success.

Just as Harry Gypna says above, it's a Nutriculture TMU. Cost about thirty quid, I think. I bought one of those Glasslin digital timers but I'm fucked if I could work the thing out. This TMU is simple.

I just took a look at the Ecotechnics timer and it looks far better than the one I have.

https://magma.dns-systems.net/secure/headshigh/ecotechnics-minute_precision-interval-timers.html

Interesting that it allows for day/night cycles that are longer or shorter than the normal 24 hours. I read someone, Ganja Baby I think, who was experimenting with day/night cycles.
Thanks again, Harry G.

Hello Harry, nice simple room you got there - can you give any more info on the floor insulation? Sounds like it's worked a treat.

Also where do you extract to?

Peace

looking good Harry

is the pot full of roots then?

I dunno FOG. There's only a few pokin out of each pot so far, maybe just two or three from each. I'm sort of wonderin if I should have let them veg in these pots for a week or so before 12/12? Maybe next time. Still early days yet. I'll lift em tomorrow and see if there's any coming out the bottom of the pots.

This is the gear, Piff,

http://www.domesticsoundproofing.co.uk/soundproofing/cement.htm

It weighs a ton but goes down very easily over existing flooring. Leave a 5mm gap around each side and fill it with acoustic silicone.

Extract is to the chimney. I got a piece of plywood, cut 150mm holes in it, put a spigot on each. Then I knocked a hole in the chimney breast and fixed the ply over it.
