You are more patient than me...if it burns, I'll smoke it...lol. The only cure I get is when there is enough of it to last to the point of calling it cured. :joint:

But I suppose I do set aside different jars and come back to them later, in the process of trying all that came down, and in that sense, stuff cures up...but it really isn't my intention, it's just part of the juggle and well, I can't smoke all of it at once...lol. ;)

It's the same thing here when I've run out of stash in the past.I have to overgrow my smoking habit to make it to a cure.:)
I was a fly on the wall listening to two guys talking about how to tell the sex of the plants one had.One went into a long talk about how you had to "hermaphroditey" them to have all females.I'm not sure what the process was but since the laws here have loosened up you can hear quite a bit at the coffee shop, right out in plain conversation...I play the role of the conservative insurance salesman.

Funny you say that...I was sitting in a coffee shop a few weeks back, out of my region, and over heard a woman telling a man how she found this plant, blah, blah, blah...then came the cell phone pictures...and he proceed to tell her, oh that's a female...

At that point, I knew what they were discussing...I just sipped my coffee and listened to the ignorance that followed. It was TERRIBLE advice this fellow was giving. It really did take all I could muster not to jump up and say...NO, STOP, BLASPHEMY!!! But I sipped my coffee and ate my food, without ever looking up from my plate.

You can't teach them all! It's interesting though, how COMMON it's become in the last 10 years or so. It's mainstream. Really makes me wonder what full legalization would be like...

I can't believe some of the things I hear... it's never worth explaing either, they still won't understand...

Lol my one friend thinks that the males grow seeds... lmao, everytime i tell him, no those are his balls with his sperm in it and he knocks up the female and the girl has the baby, remember? he goes, "oh yeah, that makes sense" Haha almost like he forgot the buds they smoke have seeds in it... and that the girl always has the baby?! haha

The best is "I found 3 seeds of Organic sour D, you have to grow 1 out for me"... I think to myself, wow 1 seed? I have 100s of bagseed... lol

Funny, so many people give away their BS2.2 seeds... personaly my 5 were not vigorous and I was a horrible grower at the time... needless to say, I didn't get to smoke any of it to make a fair judgement...

that's sweet you found something nice man.. for a guy with access to tons of unique plants its funny to hear you are still like everyone else buying seeds to find something someone else didn't... lol

I'm easy to please but I know what's good.I've talked to a few folks locally that had the same experience with the BS 2.2's who have seen the two I have and say what they popped was nothing of the sort. Some of the best smokes I find are from the craziest mix up/mash ups poly uber hybrids of unknown bag seed origin.I've been very fortunate to have made friends with some of the other weed geeks like myself who find these clone only units out there in the ether, still though they all run seeds, all the time.I just opened up a big paper bag with two clones of untrimmed seeded sativa type herbs. It's been tacked to my wall for 10 months and it's totally delicious and I could smoke that only for the rest of the year. Some Nevilles offspring I reckon.:)
Nowadays it's fairly easy to find good plants with all the seeds available, it's much less of a crap shoot than it used to be, esp if you keep to yourself and would prefer to remain that way. Trust me it's not that glorious to have a few clones of great reputation, it's just fun to grow them and see what it's all about.

I got a couple dozen chacos Chem sis X neville and popped them. I can't seem to find much about them...
Anybody have any input? Sounds like a winner, but a search isn't turning up much..

Ive spoken to Nevil recently , but havnt spoken to chaco for months. He was over at perciphones lab some months ago. I would expect something good from that cross.

Thanks for the reply! They are just getting started, but I can see a good variety in them. Surely to be some keepers...

I've only seen one sample of the Chem Sis X Nevs from an out door grow in Florida. It was very floral smelling and strong smoke in a joint.I gave some to some friends here but I never heard back. That was the first batch of Nevs X's I ran along with the Sour and I had a PM blowout that shut the whole thing down.Chances are they'll grow with great vigor and have large flower clusters.I always cut back the Nevilles hybrids because the colas grow so big, I'd even cut them back twice to be safe. The haze will most likely dominate most aspects of the end results, the Sister will dominate the flower time.
I used Rez' Chem DD, Elite's Sour Larry, Chems Sister, Melty's Coastal Collision and ecsd as moms for the Nevilles 4 males. The Sister and the CC are the only group I didn't grow out whole rooms of.The rest I have done several times. If you like haze everything will be fine. They probably aren't practical from a commercial standpoint only because you hear lots about haze and how people love it but it will sit on the shelf longer than most chunky, stinky herb that most prefer. I've never been to a dispensary but from what I hear, haze is generally not on the menu or it's only a small percentage, no matter how strong it is.:tiphat:

This is some of the outdoor from Florida, it's either the CC or the Sister cross, I can't recall.Even today 8 months after harvest it smells great. It hasn't lost any of it's quality, if anything it's improved with age.

That is exactly right. They go with the flavor of the month or what the rappers are talking about. "Dank" seems to be the coined phrase and no matter how good the sativa is it just isn't appealing to the younger generation. And that is exactly why I started growing haze and haze hybrids for my wife. It really helped her but it was too hard to obtain.

You are starting from a great place then.
Slip's Nev cuts (male and female) were selected from a run of multiple packs of Nevs Haze. The Nev male that he uses is now proven to consistently pass positive traits to his offspring. Potency, vigor, taste, pest resistance, structure, etc. It is a great genetic package to work with.
Combining that male with proven mothers delivers hybrids that will satisfy even the most demanding head.

I have grown the F1s that were sold on the bay. They all shared some degree of taste, structure, potency, and flowering time traits with each other from the male, while the unique traits of the mothers came through in flower structure, taste and effect.
I would say the Nev's Sis is the most robust, highest yielding of the 3. Very potent with excellent bag appeal.
I never worried that something would happen to that girl because it was just so strong. It was first to start really smelling too.
Ping pong bud structure.

The Nevs does seem to bring a strong taste of sweet pine to all the crosses (we believe from the NL) but I have come to recognize that taste as a sign of it's potency. After a bit of time in the jar, you will find the crystal candy sweetness remains but the pine taste falls nicely to the background.

All the best with your Nev's Sis work BL.

My MNS NH has more of a sour orange flavor in the outdoor grown. Its very nice, and super strong.

I have a tall Nevilles Madness( not MNS) cross out back. Its just starting to go into bud. It looks real healthy. Looking forward to smoking that one. It should be real good. With the Mullimbimby Madness in there , it can be almost too strong. You just take a small hit to begin with. Then take another later if you need it.

Thanks to you and everyone else for the info. I miss the sativas, Havent grown any since the 80's. This is my first shot at a haze, and its sounding better and better. I kind of overdid the bean popping, and have a dozen of them along with Blackberry Pearl, 501 ST, ApolloPurp11, and some doublebarrel auto. I hope the others don't distract me from the Haze. I have 7k of light to work with, and hope to fill 4 of those with the haze. When I get them big enough to pot em up into big-boy pots (coco mix) I will update here- its a great thread and easy to reference for NH info.

Thanks to all. :comfort:

And big gurly pot too? Just kidding

I wonder what sort of coco mix you will use? Curious monkey

:tumbleweed:

Yea, gurly beans. I'm getting soft in my old age... :)
A mix of botanicare bricked and Roots cocochips. Ive used coco/perlite in the past. I just want to ditch the perlite and thought the chips would replace it. Straight botanicare works fine too.
Plain ol pots, 2 gallon but prob 3 gal with the tree-haze.
I was looking for the Roots birds nest, but they were out. Got an old friend that kills it w/ the birds nest.
