I don't think it's black and white. Depends on what your going for. I have mad respect for hella's chem scene. Would I smoke any of it? no. Will it sell? of course it will. Doesn't mean he isn't working his ass off and showing his fantastic work ethic. As far this business goes, hella seems to be a fantastic business man.

I don't have a market for lower quality buds. ( I say that subjectively, I'm sure hella will and has produced some fire) I have built my network around shooting for the highest caliber smooth tasting organically and sustainably grown buds I can.

As for supporting the local economy. I completely agree. I try to get as much stuff locally as I can and if not locally the triangle or the north state.

Peace

Juan, Emilio and Jose sound like some hardworking good ol boys taking care of family instead of sitting off the I-5 exit ramp holdin a sign. I got no problem with them

If your not taking your land and community into account, your just another green rusher, even if you are a norcal local...

Organic is useless [I feel] unless your at a place where you plan on living/working for the next 5+ years, "organic" is a long term benefit, its to nurture and feed the earth/soil in a hole that you use year after year,

What about the people that have to use the land after you?

Maybe you should start your own thread where you can preach your "science".

Wtf? Eat a dick with your holier-then-thou attitude. You can disagree with people and have different opinions/methodologys, but lets not be condescending pricks now.... were all grown-ups here. I think....

I'm not sure what any of the local haters noticed, but these are fucking Smart-Pots on goddamn pallets... You overreacting like I'm fertigating trenches 100yards from the Eel River or something.

"Use the land" wtf kinda pretentious ass are you? This was a hillside that we deemed more fitting to grow trees on instead of having to mow it all summer!

My mind is blown by all this hater-ade that is flowing....

From the guy:

"FUCK YES!

9+ feet tall!" post?

I'm confused, kettle black?

I assume you mean the pot calling the kettle black thing. I don't think it fits here. I think maxsea is what it is. It's good chemical fertilizer for pot. I am not a big fan of chemical growing anymore. Which is why everything I do now is all organic. Just good soil mixes and water. Maybe a tea or a compost extract once or twice.

And yeah I was excited that one of my plants hit 9 feet, now almost all of them have. Are you assuming that my now 12 ft tall plant is anything but organic?

I do still agree with OB that its important to be good stewards of the land. And honestly it sounds like you value the land and the local community, like you said its smart pots, not in the ground.

Confused

Confused

What happened to the thread? I go fishing and all hell breaks loose.
I'm confused why cutting non native shrub from a hillside and digging good holes is bad.
The next person could put in nuts or fruit trees in the holes and get good growth and make good money or maybe big sequoias.

Dude, you're taking more flak for your word choice than you are for the chem vs organic debate. If Mendo compares maxsea to miracle grow and you disagree, then tell us why it isn't comparable. Don't instead make blanket statements about organic farming or call it gay and not expect a condescending response. PM me if you want a further explanation.

@Mendo420
Are you in the camp that stops foliar feeding before or two weeks into bloom? I know theres a good volume of soil in those 800's. I'm also curious how hot your mix was initially? Have any soil tests done?

not sure how it started but i am reading some really rude and insulting stuff in here and that's just not on. i hesitate to bin or delete anything as i don't want to screw up the flow. but really certain people should edit their posts, before a stricter mod shows up with a different approach.

argue the topic as much as you like, but name calling and insults are not on.

thanks

STOP hijacking my tread

Start your own.

Someone asked me about maxsea.
If you don't like my opinion, you know what to do.

the soil mix was amended well. it was not that hot.

i did not have it tested.
