Nitrogen deff.??? or lockout?
So I just hit the end of my fourth week in flower, plants have been showing serious deff for a week and a half or so. I'm currently flowering out 10 moms in 15 gal soil, Earth juice sugar peak flowering, hygrozyme, benificial microbes, all brewed in a tea for 48 hours for a feed water feed schedule. I brew 10 gals at a time with 10 tsp flower per 5 gal. Ph goes up to 7.5 after brewing and i bring down to 6.7. They are under 3 1000 hps. Plants have been battling root aphids and fungus gnats since veg but I've done a good job with preventative to keep them subdued, def a variable for nut lockout tho.. First time grower, long time fan.
I have a 400 watt HPS air-cooled set up going in an 8X8X6.5 well insulated basement. Fresh air in at ground level and exhaust been sucked out thru the light hood. 2 small fans inside, 1 high and 1 low moving air around. I made the mistake of getting what I thought was the best soil for a noob, Fox Farm Ocean whatever. I should have gotten something that's neutral not something with nutes because I'm using Nutes. My room stays around 82 degrees with lights on and 70 off. Humidity stays between 50%-60% without any help. My light is about a foot above my 8" girls and after a ruff first feeding a week ago they haven't needed water. I used Fox Farms Grow Big in the first feeding and gave a little to much. Then I had to cut away the badly burned portions, leaving them tattered.
The girls came back after I decided not to mess with them for a few days. I only misted them with PH 7 balanced water. Their color went from a lite greenish yellow to almost a hunter green. No water, no nutes, just misting them a couple times a day.
Yesterday their new nutes were introduced, Canna Substra veg. Before feeding the girls I noticed a rusty color on a few leaves. I did research prior to starting my room and know that rusty color isn't a good thing. I do need to worry, I am worried. I live in the northwest by Seattle and my climate is different than any of the YouTube video people that I've found with info on my situation. There are a few things it could be.
1) Mag or Cal is low 2) Lights are to close 3) To much nutes
I haven't given any nutes in over a week and they were looking great the day I gave them their first real feeding. All looked great! Temp never got above 84 and humidity stays below 60%. The PH meter (triple pronged meter) says they are just below 7 They were looking good before adding the air-cooled hood.
So, is it a Mag and/or Cal deficiency or something else? If it is, can I add Cal-Mag to already potted plants? How do I apply Cal-mag to already potted plants that just got feed? How do I lower the PH balance of my already potted plants? Can I get some PH down and mix it into a single gallon of water to share between my 8 girls? How do I apply PH down ( or up) to already potted plants?

What's the best root builder for 8" plants for a guy on a budget? I can only afford around $75-$100 a month on supplies and I only have about $25 left for this month. My room is already completely built. I'm using Canna Subtra Veg as my nutes and the root builder suggested to go with it is about $60 which I won't have for another 2 weeks. Also, I'll ask my last posted question again. I saw some rusty coloring on a few leaves the day of their last feeding. They were looking great up until then. They had no nutes for the week prior and only plain water mist sprayed on them twice a day. I did not use fine dolomite with the soil when I transplanted them from cup to pot and they haven't had any Cal-Mag or anything like it.

Hello there, im new to the site but was directed here by a fellow grower and i have to say im highly impressed. id like to thank u for the time and effort u put into that whole thread, it was a very selfless thing to do and it goes without a doubt appreciated. so i currently am growing 3 autos and i am having an issue with 1 of the 3, the Easy Ryder which is 42 days from seed 2day. Its in Miracle Grow Organic Choice potting soil and under 3 26=100watt CFLs. its in a DIY last minute 45gal storage container i turned into a grow box. i have 2 4inch fans going at all times its on a 18/6 lighting cycle at the moment and i never completely close the box so that fresh air can enter. i believe its either got nitrogen def potassium def or heat stress. im leaning more towards the heat stress jus bc of the pics on the thread and bc its in such a small space with strong lighting. unfortunately i dont have any pics but i do have a vid so if u would please take a moment to check my vid out and give me any suggestions on what u may think the problem is i would GREATLY appreciate it. heres the link:

im sure u knw but if not... when u over feed u need to flush it out. light need to b close to the plants, use the back of ur hand as a test. if u place ur hand over the plant and the light heats ur hand its too close.
I'm trying to figure out what that rust looking spots on some of my leaves too... My ph pen is broke so its most likely got something to do with that... But this has happened before to me when my pen was working fine... This time it's pretty bad though and they are still just in veg...

Meghan, you should get a digital temp/humidity meter. I got one online at Walmart.com for under $10. Tells me the high and low temp/hum with a 6 to 12 hour period. I ordered it and picked it up on the same day.

@19purpleking69 i have a digital temp/humidity reader. the temp stays bt 78-80 degrees F and the humidity usually bt 40-43 sometime a bit higher if ive jus watered. keep in mind im growing autos. Thanks for lookin out tho. did u check my vid out. posted a link to it in one of my posts. check it out if u havent n tell me whatcha think.

It looks like magnesium deficiency to me. Epsom salt works if you don't have Cal-Mag. I'm not sure of the ratio, maybe a tsp. per gallon?

I trimmed most of the fan leaves off of 4 plants a couple days before harvest. Reason is I thought more light would help calyx production during 45 to 50 deg. night temps in unheated building. One of the 4 plants with the biggest cola. The sugar leaves started turning brown and the buds smell like hay. I did notice that pot wasn't draining like the others. Is this a root problem? Did I trim to much on one plant? Or a combination of to much moisture, to little leaves and cold temps??? It's pouring out or I would go take a pic. About 2 weeks til harvest I was thinking on cutting the girl down a couple hours into dark period. Any thoughts???? Thanks
PS. I do trim my girls while they are still growing before harvest.

My EC has been lowish, 0.95-0.98 since 12/12. And might have been even lower before 12/12, didn't measure back then.
Are these burnings caused by the mites or is it nutrition (potassium?) deficiency?

)...and this is how it looks under the hood, minor root rot? On hot days I tried to control res water temps with ice. Nevertheless, there has been days that my res water temp has reached 26 C, so I tried to prevent rotting by applying H2O2. Brown points on the roots have been there for weeks and, to my awareness, hasn't spread from the time I first noticed them.
Hoping to get some ideas on this clawing and inward folding of my leaves. Some background.

Strain - Wild Thai
Temps - 80-60
RH - 55-20
12/12 for 9 days
