Just like any nutrients start light and work your way up .Full strength is 3.77 grams Jacks and 2.44 grams Cal Nit. thats very strong it puts N at 150 ppm.I use Jacks at 3 grams and Cal Nit at 2.5 but then I dilute that to 80 % which puts my- N at 106 -P at 31- K at 128 which is like a 3-1-4 ratio which seems to work very well. good luck Jaba

im up around 2.0 ec with 1200 ppm co2 running. i was at the standard 1.2 and they went def. almost instantly lol. im still nursing them back but i think they will make it. they are still growing pretty quick they are just a little ugly haha.

im at 1.1 ec jacks and .7 ec calnit then i add a little kelp extract, humics/fulvics ph down etc. for the most part i am running it KISS but i had some left over additives i never really tried out so im running them to see what happens.

got g13's c99, fms AK, hso's blue dream, moscas tsi fly and just popped moscas otm x indiana bubble gum. gonna be quite the show

DH, could you give the amount in grams or volume measure (teaspoon for instance) that gives you 1.1 ec for the Jacks and the .7 ec calnit? I have settled on 3/4 teaspoon of each component per gallon and have no idea where I am at with ec. I started out with the reccomended 1/2 teaspoon and found it was not enough, bumped up to 1 teaspon of each component per gallon and had awesome results with a nute hog pheno of AK48. I decided to split the difference and have been getting very good results. I also add 3/4 teaspoon of epsom salts per gallon.

i dont measure in tsp etc. i measure by ec. i put a big pump in my res to get the water moving then i slowly add in bas until i hit .7 ec, then after a minute to make sure its stable at .7 i ad the calnit til i hit 1.2 and thats it. sometimes i need a little bit of ph down and other times its dead on depending on additives.

Using a Bluelab Truncheon.

I'm currently starting with around 50-55 Gal of RO. I add 130g of Jacks..let it mix for 30min, then dump in 86g of CalNit.

Gives me a 1.2EC, pH in the mid 5s.

Think I calculated it out to cost me around $0.85 per 50Gal of nutes used.

Don't think I'll ever return to anything else.

Love Jacks, but Calcium Nitrate should always be added before Jacks Hydro..

I've seen this debated before... why Cal-nit first?

If Calcium Nitrate is added after the base nutrient, it will chelate some of the minerals in Jacks Hydro. This is a 2 part nutrient program and as always with any A + B feed program, the A is always Calcium Nitrate.

I fucking love Jacks!

I have been adding the Calnit to the Jacks myself. No problems thus far. 3/4 teaspoon of each component is approximatly 1200 PPM.

Interesting.

I don't seem to be having any noticeable issues mixing the Jacks 1st. I add Jacks to RO to reach my target EC, then CalNit to bring me up to my final EC. Everything looks to dissolve fully and final solution is crystal clear koolaid blue (due to Jack's blue calnit).

Peter's/Jack's mixing instructions don't seem to specify otherwise.
Bulk mixing instructions show 130oz Jacks into 1000Gal and then 86oz into the same 1000Gal.

I've been using Jacks based on the advice of Delta9..using Jacks at a 1/.67 ratio, measuring by equal volume of each or preferably by EC. The only order of operation he's commented on is making sure if you want additional mag (epsom) to add it after jacks but before the Calnit.

always add the calcinit last. if you add more magnesium sulfate (epsom salts) do it after the jacks and before the calcinit to avoid reactions.

Maybe I don't see issue as the jacks is well/fully diluted before the raw calnit gets added, but I'd be interested in hearing more about the correct order to mix.
