I do hear rumors that this cut is the B cut , and there is a tightly held ECSD that is superior? Supposedly it's not widely held ?? Who knows? BS , maybe ......
I'd believe it Chefro. Like i said, ive run the legit that was the hyped up cut and it still wasn't as impressive smokewise/smell/flavor as Sour i would get back in texas. Smoked a buncha other heads legits sours, o.d.'s and headbands too...none quite stack to the one i used to be able to buy. Haven't seen it since either.
Easy to get, it's everywhere.
It's more in the smell and taste than anything. Sour dirt and diesel fuel with an earthy rich dirt and skunk aftertaste that stays on your breath.
Gets you hella sativa stoned (almost like a pressure building between your temples), but I also remember the high only lasting about 30 minutes, then you have to re-up. Some of the new versions last way longer.
Whatever though, stuff isn't even worth that much anymore, like 25 for super top notch. Maybe 26 or 27 for singles.
In NorCal no one delineates it by Original AJ, ECSD, Sour Diesel, it just all gets sold as Sour D if it has the smell and look.
My favorite is whatever gets the biggest and gets you the most baked. Don't care about the name or leaf shape really.

Are you in a Med State helping out REAL patients or are you just hustling to your homies or better yet the Cali guys like he is talking about that are "Care Givers", it's bullshit. I bet less than 5% of the growers in Cali don't do it for the money... and actually care about the plant and it's benefits...
Cali guys are the fakest of em all... claim to be helping "patients" by providing them with "medicine" except everyone grows the same 15 clone onlys and over 50% of it goes As far East as you can imagine...

Lol, love the real ecsd as long as I keep any cut I will keep her. I guess I,m not as good as grower as some posting in this thread but for me , it takes me awhile to get a cut dialed in before I pass judgement, I think peeps give good cuts bad reps because they don't bother to get it right, one and done and on to the next. This thread and subject kind of pisses me off. I got the cut passed to me as Sour D in the summer of '06. It was given to me around the same time Rez's first seeds were coming out. I was told the cut I had is the same one Rez used. It was not called ECSD by this group of growers. I later passed it to other overgrow/IC mag members in the C2CC crew we had back then. They had a clone labeled ECSD, we all grew them side by side, they were the same. Not sure why ECSD was slapped on there. The shit sells itself. All renaming it does is muddy the waters.
My point was not to criticize California or it's growers. The commercial growers (in all parts of the world) have their place and I love them for keeping those without cards smoking...EVERYONE has a right to consume cannabis and put in their own bodies what does not bring harm to another, medical or not. (R.I.P. Jack Herer) I'm not one to really separate medical from recreational by the individual; it's not my task to pass judgement. I make such evaluations in my own garden, on the plants, only because I am the one whom the plant must please at that point.

Puffing on that bitch right now. She is my #1 medicine for depression and anxiety, nothing even comes close. Always puts a cheek hurting smile on my face. I won't drive freshly baked due to the paranoia and shit, it is no fun. However, with ecsd, it is no problem. It is do everything weed, my favorite use for it is jumping waves on the seadoo on a nice sunny day, best beach weed there is. I got this form a friend, could have been a lot better but she taste good, smokes good, and does the trick. I am an ecsd head. I have some 4 weeks in flower now, I won't be parting with much. I have had her for like 4 years now I think.

i stay wit a jar of sour, and everytime i grow it i get around 1.4 per and people drool over it, some people have just renamed it OG? lmao..... i always hear "this really has the chem quality to it" - my reply is "yeah, its the real sour" I dunno if its the "ECSD" cut...but its def. the cut sourced out in upstate NY that is hella sour and fingery in growth, 3x stretch...i just call it ECSD (clone-only), cuz its east coast sour diesel, as opposed to all the clubs in cali that just carry a sour diesel that someone bought a pack of seeds of rezdogs IBL and promoted it that way.

I was worried about the sour in our garden, being its our first crop in quite some and in a totally new location to boot. But she is really surprising us. She has taken over the garden. I think I remember raising the lights up off the sour in the past and seeing a noticeable improvement in sourness. The buds are very fluffy but I kinda expect that and I believe that any true sour d fan will look right past the density of the flowers and on to the flavor and high. As they should.
