Why is it so hard to watch M*A*S*H, WKRP in Cincinnati, Barney Miller, Cheers, Night Court, Mork & Mindy (yech!), Sanford & Son, Married with Children, Three's Company, Soap, Happy Days and others. I used to make sure I was tuned into most of those on the tube so as not to not miss them, of course in those days if you missed a show it would be ages until it aired again.

I still love The Odd Couple, Gilligans Island, Get Smart, Beverly Hillbillies, All in the Family, The Honeymooners, The Andy Griffith Show, Gomer Pyle USMC, The Addams Family, The Munsters, and a bunch of others of course. Sure I recognize that these were earlier 50s/60s/70s shows.

was humor from those earlier years so much more sophisticated? Did they rely less on the cheap laughs & bawdy humor? I really love the shows from my boyhood as opposed to later years. Maybe because story lines were always repeated just by other casts in later shows?

^^ I agree with you 100%,but I'm sure there are a lot of people who do.All good examples.

This is one reason I watch quit a few old movies also.I have to admit it though,I also watch old cartoons too, scooby doo,the groovy goulies, jetsons, etc.:tiphat:On a very limited basis.
