Ways to increase yields in an organic soil setup?

beds...forget containers. You want root space...roots need to be slightly dominate over plant size to feed the plant and keep it healthy. That is what makes it yield.

What led to bigger yields outdoors...more root space. What is the easiest way to get root space indoors...beds.

^^^^ I agree, Bigger soil...

Starting off with large vigorous clones or better yet start from seed. Lots of people I see taking these little tiny clones from side branches from unhealthy moms. Take tips off main branches, and if need be have more moms so you have choice cuts. Be sure your moms are fed well including all micros and take it easy on the N. Take twice as many clones as you think youll need so you can have the best picks of the new generation. Clones 6"+ start off well and end results are obvious.

I like to hug my plants, and tell them how beautiful they are. Stroke their leaves and stalk. This seems to help, and is organic. Your welcome.

I have went to 7 gallon smart pots. A fresh soil mix for these. Vegged for a long period of time with LST to increase branching. I am backed up at bit transplanting but now have them for one more week in the 7 gallons. 2 phenos for a total of 10. I am building a SROG modular and will put them in the room as soon as the roots spread a bit. I am also adding Blumats this round. I will start off with a 5 gallon bucket for each 5 but will increase to a 15 gallon for each set of 5 or 6 pots depending on how often I have to fill the reservoir.

Sit your pots on top of a DWC or NFT type system, they get the soil grow above, but access to lots of water and nutes below.

If you must keep it "all organic", just use those teas...

Clone to 3 gals of nursery dirt for 1.5 weeks then into final beds. Pamper your girls, with lots of foliar love, and a dialed environment.
Respectfully,

FE

I dig it father earth. When your plants goin into the final beds, do they get any additional veg time, or are the beds in a dedicated flower room?

Ive been looking to move up to beds, but cant seem to figure out how to make it worth it without vegging in situ. My flower room is on a flip so I couldnt even veg in there without some additional lighting to keep the cycle at 18/6.

I try and only transplant once. Once when they are rooted into plugs they go into a nursery mix in 3 gal pots for up to 2 weeks I dont like to push it past 1.5 as the roots start to circle. Then directly into beds. My mix is balanced enough to be able to support vegging for however long is needed. I normally go about 2-3 of weeks of veg, then flip. Its all about the soil, well balanced and lots of it. If I had higher plant counts Id veg less but Im staying within my legal limits and still doing well. Im now testing before, middle, and at finish with http://loganlabs.com/ getting the paste test for
25$. I havent found a place that beats that price. I was paying a hundo each time before I got hooked to that place. Game changer for sure. Knowing whats going on in the soil is priceless IMO.

Here is an outline of how it goes for me...always changing it a little bit here and there..

They do a Mehlich III for like 20...that tells you what is in the soil with a fair acid. The paste is more about what is available at that point...Kind of like whats in the bank vs what is in your pocket.

What kind of available P numbers are you seeing FE?
