Serious Seeds Chronic used to be the rave 10 years ago! Dont hear much about this strain anymore. Is it in today's market that if a strain doesnt have kush or chem in its name its considered obsolete? Or did Simon loose the original parents? Big yields with good potency whats not to like. I heard it can lack in the taste dept but no strain is perfect. Any info is much appreciated!

chronic is still out there. i got a free bean a while back and grew it out. with some good grow advice from other ICmaggers and using simon's curing method it turned out great
one of the biggest pot snobs i know grabbed all i had and still asks if i have any more whenever i run into him.

everyones into different kinds of weed.. highschool kids are into the namebrand shit.. even if its nothing like the REAL DEAL LOL..
but honestly.. ive had potsnobs say that my best product was garbage.. but then take the stuff thats half as potent and say its the best hes had..
different weed for different peeps.. me personaly.. i only knew Chronic.. as a BRAND NAME for like good buds .. so ive never ran into the Strain Chronic.. just somebud callled chronic. lol..

I'm running it right now.
From the pack I grew out, 2 females 3 hermies, and the other 6 were males.
One of the hermies seeded one of my tents, and I have 2 female clones in veg right now.
I have heard that Simon lost his parent stock, but whether or not this is factual, I'm not sure.
Nice yield, boring in every other way.

You could call it old skool Northern Lights, it's a thin leaf indica with a strong weed smell, and medium density. lemme smoke and get back at ya...with peace!

The first time I grew I picked chronic as I wanted to smash 3lb's per light. Reality kicked me in the nuts on that run let me tell you 
The chronic never turned out very good for me. It yielded pretty well but even after a good long cure it was mediocre at best. With that being said lots of people still liked it just fine.
Double dutch for me seemed to turn out much better. It yield as much but was tighter, better bag appeal, and quite a bit more potent. The smell was kind of generic but overall much better for big yield than chronic. I guess adding warlock to it really helped polish the chronic.
