Another couple of weeks, slip off the bus of life, and fall under the wheels....

Almost had a haiku there....almost.

Well? What's happening?

It's raining. Been raining since sunset. Last week, more of the same. This time of year, up here, that's quite common. It should begin to dry out soon....the back half of summer is usually drier than the front.

With all the rain...this trip has been an easy one.

Green Harvest flew last week. They staged down in at the armory, in plain view of the highway. Everyone saw them...and called me.

Plants look good. Add another foot to the top...another few around...it's all good.

The plant that pulled toward dad has started to bud. Nothing to write home about...but beats a sharp stick in your eye.

Be careful OH those red solo cups are a dead giveaway that someone is trying to hide weed in their rose garden.
Speaking of roses, might want to deadhead that beauty sometime.
Speaking of deadheads, How do you know hippies have been in your house?
They are still there.
:wtf:

It appears that a tropical storm is heading our way. Named Flosie, it should be here over the Monday - Tuesday time period. I hope it veers off... but so far it seems to only have eyes for us. The last report has it scoring a direct hit on the Big Island as a tropical storm.

Wonderfuckinful....

We've done these before. She'll come in with some wind, then a lot of rain. A LOT of rain. Just what those big plants need. That combination can do some damage. Stay tuned.

The big plants...I could care less about. Not too far along, they should make it thru.

Next weekend I have some clones scheduled to take. The weekend after that...more just getting ready. If those get too wet I'll lose the next couple of harvests.

And that'll hurt.

Could be worse. Could be doing this trip on the Big Island.

After reading your post about GH being here last week, I guess I was wrong with my not-so-helpful text earlier this week. I give up. Apparently, I suck at spotting GH. Oh well. Your journal is looking great OH and hopefully the rain won't set you back any.

Hoooooo shit! We are in line for a direct hit! Good luck on your side buddy. I know we are gonna get pounded on ours. Everything has been moving along too nice this summer. Now I gotta think of cover.

Aloha

Hopefully She meanders on by gently and you are right at least we are not on big isle, man da rain is mean ovah Hilo side.

We got lucky over here so far...a little bit of wind and a little rain but nothing worse than you'd see here in November, in fact I see blue skies down by my house right now while i'm at work.

Kona side?
Very nice day, then a little rain.
Winds were moderate.

Floppy skirted to the north.
Headed right for Maui.
They have some power outages.
Hope OH isn't among 'em.

Aloha, Y'all
Wee

Jeebuz....We just took a pounding. That storm beat us like a rented mule.

Today was a wierd one. Flosie stuck on course until the sun rose this morning. About a hundred miles out the storm took a turn to the northwest, but left all that rain still heading west. Kinda turned into two storms. The orphan big wet blob wouldn't be abandoned that easily...it wraped around the Big Island, then followed the center of the storm back North.

What's North of the Big Island?

Maui....Us....My garden.... That big blob of rain came over the mountain behind us like a truck running over a speedbump. Like it wasn't even there. Wind, Rain, Lightning...the whole burrito...flung into my garden at 50 miles an hour....

Shit. What a clusterfuck.

This is gonna be ugly.

By the time it got dark, all the leftover, unharvested clones were in the dirt...now conviently turned to sloppy mud.

So far, on the big plants, I saw one branch was down....that's all. But then it got dark...and the wind kept howling for another few hours. So, I won't know exactly what happened until the morning.

We'll call these two the "before" shots. Taken before the meat of the storm hit. Tomorrow I'll put up the "after" pics. Then we'll get to work...slap everything back together...and see how close I can get it back to the normal unfuckedup look.
