hi there :tiphat:

well the mosnter has only been hanging in the ballast /reservoir chamber for 60 hours or so. let's give it at least a week to dry out and then i'll share her appearance. thanks for your interest

it was sticky indeed and i couldn't get rid of the scent on my pink paws for quite a while  the smell reminds me of tropical fruits that are really sweet! love it already!!

man, those flower pics around page 12 are mental! I can't believe the amount of weed you have growing in such a small amount of space :D

I think harvesting in stages can be a good call. I regretted not doing it on my last grow. There was a large amount of bud from the lower region that could have been much better quality if left under lights for a bit longer.

Hey NKOT's, if the monster bud's a bit too harsh for your liking, I say blast her into some oil ;P ! I just ran the trim from my early harvest (About 1/4 ounce with some shake I had on the side...) and got 2 nice .6g globbers of the headiest shatter!

hi all, thx for all your input! :]

LTTG nice you dropped into the rabbit burrow, welcome!

RS thanks for your comment, buddy. glad you like the buds.

mwz good to hear you about the partial harvest, i continue this path due to other reasons than impatience, lol, i will get back to this issue later on.

neekz, ths could be a good idea but i will firstly try the smoke. monster-bud is going to the jar soon. what is your recipe for the simple oil extraction?

hi there, rooti, thx for your enthusiastic comment but i need to clear this out - the monster bud comes from the rabbit warren, i.e. the big cab with HPS 250.

...while in the rabbit burrow we are looking at 160 W of CFL and the lady enjoying this light is in 65th day of 12/12:

Yes we are...and yes she is.

Looking great my friend. Been busy (weed related ) so I haven't been posting much...always lurking though.

Are you noticing much of a difference in plant density (CFL/HPS) between the two chambers?

Hey there NKOT's, making BHO is quite quite simple if you have the right tools (And I really don't, lol, but can still make a quality product.). All I used was some SS window screen, coffe filter, hose clamp/zip tie, rubber stopper, a ceramic baking dish (Easier to see the oil vs. pyrex...), and a proper size vessel for your amount to run(Honeybee, Glass tube, Copper/SS pipe... Oh and of course butane, I use Vector...). You don't NEED a vac purge and whatnot to make great oil. I followed this tutorial for small run's (Minus vaccing...). In order for a good purge without tho, I recomend having your hot water really hot, and ready for right after you blast, and I keep exchangin the warm water constanly, keeping the oil runny, and popping as much bubbles individually as possible (Don't whip em, just poke them...). When there's still hot water in the pan, and the bubbles have stopped (Aside from the small ones...) I move to the next stage. I set the oven to the lowest setting (170 degree's, wish was 125... Oh and this is electric mind you, IDK about open flame oven's...) pop th pan in and watch. What your watching for is overheating, soon as she looks the slightest bit darkening, get it out, I myself constantly turn the oven on and off to regulate temperature. I repeat the oven procedure 20-30 min's, then scrape, and off to a good little cure in the jar. If you are a stickler and worried about residual butane, you can dissolve in ethanol (It will dissolve and release any trapped tane.) and wait until that has evaporated off. I personally don't worry too much, so long as the result is somewhat stable (Ex shattery laffy taffy consistency, not the oozy dark poop you see around...), then I am good. I think of it like this, we all use lighter's am I right (I myself like hempwick's, but am not made of money lol...), well then you probably are inhaling more tane from the bic then the oil (Unless someone got some funky ass oil...)... I am telling you NKOT's you will LOVE it! I cringe everytime I have to smoke flower's now...

hi folks, thx for comments

5th, i observe indeed huge difference. suprisingly, the plant density is much higher in the CFL cab. i see two possible reasons:

1. higher watts/sqf ratio (even though HPS is 250 and CFLs are 160 - but the small cab is MUCH smaller)

2. the girl in the small cab has been trained heavily (both in veg & flower) while the other one only a little bit (only in veg) - this contributed to a very bushy plant in the small CFL cab. and scrog also helped to achieve it.

on the other hand the fat buds produced below HID are in no way comparable to the tiny CFL flowers. still, quite some time ahead of both girls so we shall see :]

hi womyn, glad to hear your words, pal!

neekz, i know you tried to put it in a simple way but my stoner brain needs some time to digest all this info. i promise i will try one day, anyway!

OK, time for another update. here is the cloning chamber.
i had serious plans related to these little bunnies (hempy or hydro) but since the plants in the big cab still need some time, this project will have to wait.

meanwhile i got fed up with frequent watering regime and decided to install another water pump and auto-watering system:

i love this approach. the cost is relatively low and it saves so much time and hassle!

I gotta work on my setup soon, and figure out a vegging cab. I have a feeling my LP will be ready before my CD4, and I want to try to re-veg her after I harvest. Your setup is so awesome... ::envy::

you should repot or something tho..
hi!
most of these clones are supposed to be bonsai moms and therefore the current pots are fine for quite some time.
others will be repotted and thrown under serious light anytime soon. thx for you point.

update from the warren. houston, we got a problem.
in the first moment all looked fine:

but close inspection showed nasty MOLD in the biggest bud :[
i removed contaminated parts as seen below but later decided to cut all infected flowers to prevent a catastrophy. i cut 3 buds, lost around 1/3 of each due to mold.
too high temp and clearly too little airflow... need to work on this. currently monitoring the situation in other flowers.

Hey NKOTS , could you adapt your shade in there by drilling a series of holes above where the bulbs are to allow for heat to escape as its just building up in the shade, also using the 6" fan above instead of those pc fans would be better as I have used loads of those pc fans in the past and the amount of air they circulate is very low IMO.

Peace
