The new room comes with a partner, hes been going thru girl shit and hasn't been forthcoming with the materials I need to finish.
Working outdoors 5-6 days a week in the scorching sun, humidity thru the roof, well I haven't been pushing him too hard.
Cooler weather for the next few days so Ill put em under 12 in the pantry while I finish the room. Clone everything, kill the boys, up-pot the ladies and we'll finally be on our way.
The BMs are still very small. NWT on the other hand are well over 1 ft tall.
Hang in there guys, Ill get some construction pics for all y'all, and a few of the NWT.
Okie dokie, for anyone still watching - some room shots.
I took these pics after sweeping up 3 g of soil and moldy leaves and washing the entire room floor to ceiling. Sprayed with a 15-20% bleach solution, scrubbed vigorously and then hosed down.
This corner was green. The sump pump is a blessing as far as hosing shit down.
This one was your basic gray.
And this was straight up black.
Since these were taken, Ive scraped the peeling paint and evened the stringers overhead so I can sheetrock it. Rerouted all electricals cause the last guy was a fucktard and used taped up shit that fell apart when I took them out. Also had a 600 plugged into a half burned outlet - WTF! So now there are 40 A dedicated to this room only and easily upgradeable to 60 A.
Dry weather for the next few days and the floor is getting evened out to eliminate low spots where water pools. From then on any spillage will run right into the pump well - which Ill spray with a bleach solution weekly to keep sterile.
I don't know which is which, but heres NWT and BM outdoors.
1 of them has a propensity for bushing - know which it is?
Thanks bro! Hoping to get it done and running by next weekend.
The floor is getting 2 coats of rubberized epoxy paint. Left over is going up the walls until its gone. Everything to the ceiling will get it if I can find another can cheap. Caulking in every crack, crevice and seams - gonna be damn close to sealed.
real nice set up looks like your putting together there, respect. I know how much work that can be. always pays offf later on tho, god knows I've had to reconfig things half- assedly partway through a grow enough to know how valuable a good set up is!!!
I feel you on the bug battles I had a multi battle war with plain old ordinary aphids that was bad enough RA sound horrid... like you i finally whent with neem & karanja oils sm-90 & protekt foliar every 3 days for a couple weeks & the neem & karanja meals in all the soils from here on.. seems to be working so far, much luck, I'll just pull up this bucket & thanks wildgrow for the show
Hey thanks z-cat and P. Its already been a ton of work so far and a lot more to go.
Z - I hear ya on half-assing shit. Budget has always kept me 1 step behind my space. Not this time.
Some room specs: 7' ceiling, 7' x 11' 6" - only using half the space. There will be a silver tarp dividing it until I can get something better. 1600 w, CO2, ? Oh, have to check specs, but air exchange will be around every 2-3 minutes.
1st is part of the ceiling after evening out the stringers. Every other one was a 2x8 and a 2x6. Added 2x4s to the 2x6s and still had a 1/4" to make up - 2" fill strapping finished them off.
2nd is the same corner w/ sheetrock. Had to stop there - still have to build a wall w/ door before the next piece goes up.
Congrats once again man. I know how excited I would be to be building out a room right now. And the anxiety to get the plants in the finished room is crazy! Can't wait til I get to build out a basement... It's funny just a little bit ago you were just rocking a 400w! I'm still not even up to a 400w!
Come gimme a hand or two. I could use some help holding up the sheetrock. Just waiting for the rest of the building to wake up so I can make some noise.
building its fun as hell as long as the tools/supplies are handy. As for help - i feel you - some times it can be very frustrating and aggrevating trying to accomplish a two person task alone. Can be done - with a few bumps cuts cuss words and a 6 pack
yeah man building can be stressful and hard work but the more hard work you put in the better in comes out in the end and less things you have to fix later! Always better to do it right the first time! I am sure this new spot is going to be legit!
