Imho, most any nutrient line will "kill it" once dialed in. As many folks that are having success with (insert nutrient brand here), as many are failing. Myself included.
You obviously figured out how to use V+G successfully. As for who Net is, true that it is not important, but the conflict of interest is there nonetheless. At least for those whom it matters to.
It surely doesn't matter to me, mostly because i don't use V+G
And it didn't matter to me when I modded this very forum. I like to play "peace keeper" is all.
I do agree though that people shouldn't be slamming Net. And if I was still a mod I would have deleted any/all trolling posts.
If you don't mind a question, are you using hydroton in those buckets? And are you flooding/draining or are they drip? Very nice crops for sure:tiphat:

wow, "jealous", and "trolls", i gave props where it was deserved and didn't knock it, just added to an already placed point.

I have used this stuff too and now my flower beds love it cause i found what worked better for me. i clearly stated it doesn't matter what you call yourself. you're just reppin a good product.

I ain't hatin. Net was straight up in answering my questions in PM's and i am still subbed to this thread, not going anywhere, i still like to see what it does for others.

flood and drain, rockwool chunks and cubes. I basically stole the whole set up idea from ill eagles thread on t h c farmer and it works like a charm. I have been in a lot of rooms running everything from canna to advanced and they don't hold a candle to the above set up and nutrient sched. and I'm spending a lot less $ crushing em' too.

Thanks ICbuds.
I'm on the cusp of switching over to ebb/flo buckets (currently in coco) so was curious.

i know it's a pain in the ass to clean hydroton after harvest, but i hear it's even worse trying to get rid of RW, how do you get rid of it without drawing your trash mans attention?

I'm a small time one light gig. I don't have a dog in this fight. I do like Veg+Bloom from beginning to end in coco core with my flowers. It is simple, clean and provides results. Like I said I'm no pro, just love what I get with Veg+Bloom... :)

Just getting done with a big run of v+b and did NOT like it at all.

The powder never fully dissolved no matter what I did. Tried hot water, slow sprinkling, mixing for hours, you name it...

I think overall quality and DEFINITELY yield was negatively effected by this.

Plus the stuff is expensive and their feeding chart isn't accurate. Takes more than they recommend.

Their customer service is really good though so I don't have any beef with them as a company.

Just my .02 cents...

I've been thinking about this since I read it yesterday, and have been trying to figure out what might be going on since it is certainly not my experience.

I initially had problems with it dissolving because I was trying to use it like I had other powders in the past - I had used a small amount of hot water, added the powder, and tried to dissolve it with no success. I contacted Chris, and he said this wouldn't work, and to just sift it into the main reservoir. I was also having problems at that point with low strength because it wasn't completely dissolving. Since following his directions, I've had no problems, and find the levels of powder for a given strength to be pretty close.

Another thing that you might want to check is the calibration of your EC meter. I went through hell with my BlueLabs a while back (two of them, a Truncheon and an EC pen) because they weren't reading anywhere near what I saw happening with my plants. Even though the popular wisdom is that EC meters don't need calibration, I bought some calibration fluid and checked them - they were waaaay off. There is a scum that builds up on the electrodes and makes them read low, and the only thing that I've found that works to get it off is the cleaner that BlueLab markets.

Another interesting note is that since I've started using SM-90, this electrode contamination problem is much more severe.

Who knows, maybe the stuff just won't work with your water. Good luck.

Yea I checked my meters and everything was good. Also I was in contact with Chris (he is great) and did everything he recommended with no success.

A friend of mine has ran the v+b classic and said his first batch dissolved really well but other batches less so.

As far as their recommended feeding chart I think it was only off because this stuff would not dissolve. I just corrected by adding more, but really that just means wasting more.

I forgot to mention that this stuff is so UNdissolved that it would clog my pump (sprinkler) filter as well as the filters on my drip manifolds. I had to hand water the entire run because I couldn't use any of my usual watering equipment due to clogging. Keep in mind this is clogging with a 1HP sprinkler pump so there is tons of power. I have NEVER had this happen before with any nute including flora nova which is super thick.

Strange. I've seen some minor variation in dissolvability, ranging from almost instantly dissolving to taking up to about 5 minutes or so, but nothing that would gunk up the works. What was Chris's opinion on what was going on?

sorry to say but my stuff never 'full dissovles' like other people are saying...

my experience...

since the first batch it never full dissolved like some claim. i 'emailed chris' and was told something along the lines "but it should unless something else is in your water". this is the tap fomrula btw. straight tap into a bucket. i have let tap water sit for 5 mins, 24 hrs, and 48hrs, bubbled or not, to the same effect.

i hand water so i am not worried about pumps clogging.

i 'slowly' mix in 1 tablespoon(3 teaspoons) into 4 gallons of tap(at 100ppm/0.2ec).

within seconds, well maybe less than two minutes, the ppm stabilizes to whatever its going to be over the next 24 hours. may slightly rise 10ppm or so. ph also slowly rises by like 0.1

while some have talked about 'elements' falling out i dont think this is the case for me.

in the powder itself, when you look closely, you will see slightly darker color specks compared to other parts of the powder. i think some of these just dont dissolve. whatever it is.

its not the calcium falling out from concentrations being too high. have also had that. white crust will form on bottom of res. flakes off easy in hot water.

even with this 'problem' my plants from full on indica hybrids and 'finicky' dj short blues all the way to ace tropical sativas and sativas hybrids - not only look healthy under all phases of growth but deal with my way less than perfect growing environment and the stresses it throws at the plants astoundingly well... compared to gh flora.

fwiw not much else to switch over to unless i start cooking my own. i am only using a pound a month. for the $20 bucks i would have to buy more in tools and instruments to switch off the tap/dirty formula. hand water coco, 600w flower, 400w veg. at this point for me, anything beyond this is just failure points and more investment of time or money.

Bottom line is for the simplicity and cost its the single best product out there and ive been thru a bunch. Ive had a white haze on my rez walls when running the RO formula and some white dust when using the hard water formula but my flowers have always been on point when using any of their formulas. The dirty def lives up to its name as it dusts the bottom of my Rez but the results are insane. Little shop vac at Rez change never bothered me. are you growing dank or not? If not maybe you are over complicating it

no problems here with dissolvibility. this shit is bangin my plants look super great and i dont have to spend a bunch of time mixing a bunch of different shit, just v+b, big bud 1-4 weeks, and v+b overdrive 4-8 weeks then flush, my shit is golden until something else comes by that can create results like this, i will never change

I think everyones water supply being different is whats causing the mixing problems . I had to stop using it cuz it just didn't mix well anymore . was causing a severe def in flower on most of my plants in the last round . i tried the dirty & it mixed great . the mix came out at a prefect 5.8 ..... but was up to 6.5 the next day . i can't adjust the PH daily in my rez's & i can't hand feed everyday either ..... so i had to switch . if i get to the point where i can hand feed .... i'll go back & try the dirty again cuz i loved the flowers V&B gave me ..... but its just not working here .

the original RO formula he had when it first came out ... was fantastic !!!!! some of the best harvests i've ever had :)
but after changing it .... it didn't work with my water anymore .... & that just sux !!! I really wish I had stocked up on some of the original formula .

fry like an egg

I have been using this for going on 2 years now and without doubt it is the easiest to work with and dissolves fine for me in RO. I use it in coco and hydro and both work just fine. I mix up one jug and water the coco plants and then pour straight into the hydro res and never look back. Wish it was around 15 to 20 yrs ago so I could of skipped all the BS involved with everything I have ever used.

Check my album out and see A11 under 720 watts of LED at 42 days. Amazing stuff IMHO.

Ran this cut for 10+ yrs so I know what works with her and what is a pain in the ass.

this was probably my biggest complaint; inconsistent quality between batches. I too have had my last sitting in a pile at the bottom of my rez.

Who is having these problems with getting it to mix up in R/O water?

R/O water is the same..... I never had troubles with the sample batch I had...
