1 of the reasons i'm here,, if it's so difficult and not really worthwhile, why bother

Some folks are into organics.

I respect that.

But it doesn't make it more potent either.

More often than not, it grows slower and yields less.

Note, I said "more often than not".

There are folks out there who have their organics (true organic living soil) dialed in as well, if not better than a hydro grow. But, they have spent a lot more time perfecting that technique.

Much respect to them!

Hold Your Fire ,I can't give out any more rep today, but you should get it! hahaha... tomorrow. You are right though organics will never be twice as good! Chem will have a stone or high just as good or better than organic. I think organics taste is better but not by that much. Its the more subtle tastes that come through in organic smoke. Chem can taste great its just less layered/complex than organic. Don't expect night and day from organic to chem, but you can taste the difference.

I still question that whole taste issue.

Properly flushed, chemically grown herb(what I grow), tastes as good as any "organic herb" I've smoked, from my local dispensaries/growers.

I also doubt very much, they were using a true organic living soil.

The cheapest (organic) way would be a soil mix made up before each grow, maybe supplement with organics teas while growing for extra kick. There are some guys on here much better with the 100% organics. They have some great threads and some great soil mixes, just search for organic soil mixes or ROLS .I can't answer that question, I pick the easy and somewhat costly way of growing myself, buying General Organics, Botanicare, and supplementing it with a few other mostly bottles products, and different fungi and microbes.

I don't know if that's what I wanted to hear S.O.F. but it makes sense, what your saying is that the conisseurs, like people that can smell different wines, which I think is b*****it prefer organic growing????????maybe it suits there pallet???? I dunno, I just can't afford to try it out at the moment,,maybe in 20 years time please god, i'll give it a try,,,,its been great chatting with ye, by the way can u tell the difference, in any way??????????

An example of organic taste vs chem taste. I have an OG cutting that tastes great in any garden! When grown chem it has this great lemon pledge, overwhelming skunk taste. When grown organically it still tastes very lemon pledge and somewhat skunky, but it has a fuel taste, a hashy taste, and a sweeter taste that all come through clearer as well. However I'd happily smoke either right now, I don't have any pure OG at the moment! hahaha

Pro mix bx is a soilless mix available just about anywhere.

Yes FN are chem nutes.

I was posting a simple, fairly fool proof method for a new grower.

True organics isn't that simple..

Side by side experiments are always great. Try half your crop each way if you are really curious of each option, you only live once.

Always good to have OG around, it has this awesome quality that makes the poor man feel so rich when you smoke it. I find herb that tastes that good helps me to forget about many of the material things in life.
