welcome to the rabbit burrow!

Hello little pink friend! :tiphat:

You're doing an amazing piece of work, dude!
Don't worry about the "Monster Bud". I have already had similar plants outdoors. As for me, it's a genetic issue. Even if it ends airy and leafy you can always make hash or oil out of it :]
But hey! Doesn't it become denser every day!?

No matter what, you're my favourite little rabbit :D

Cheers,
Simon :smoke:

P.S. Couldn't help myself...

I disagree with Polo. They are fox tailing, and it is most likely from the heat like Hazy said. Look at the lower buds that aren't getting too hot, they're looking fine with no fox tailing at all. And the foxtailing gets progressively worse the higher up you look on the plant.

quite true, kiwi. well the Hot Mix girls will be axed approximately within a week - so not much long to debate it ;]

meanwhile here is the rabbit burrow - bloom day 49:

as you see above, i need to tie one of the buds a bit sideways because it grew into the mixing fan... other than that i just watch & water :]

peace out folks :]

hello there, womyn and iska :tiphat:
thanks for your visits to the rabbit burrow, regretably we don't have many comments round here recently.

oh and big thx for all the karma pink rabbit is getting from all parts of the planet! :thank you:

today an update from the rabbit warren.

things look quite good, auto-watering system saves a lot of time and hassle but it results in less frequent visits to th big cab:

ChemdogDD-x-SourDiesel ibl girl is getting hairy and starts to smell nice, just the way pink rabbit likes his babes to smell :] she is now in her 43rd day of flower:

Hot Mix ladies look like mature milfs now, their leaves start to yellow out and they are 64 days into bloom:

and finally the monster-bud. i lack words to describe it... it is like a freshly topped plant fully into veg. it does produce hairy calyxes though, on every node, and they are much bigger than all her regular calyxes on other branches.

so what do you think, fellows?

Only advice i can give for the monster bud is either get her away from the heat or get a fan blowing fresh air constantly over the monster bud to cool it down and keep it from looking like its revegging.

LOL yes rabbits are able to grow but it takes a while to get used to it. it requires strong rabbit personality to refrain from chewing all stems, buds and leaves as soon as the cab opens

i forgot to mention that it was probably the last update for the Hot Mix babes, i plan to chop them this weekend. they will be around 70days into bloom and i cannot give them any more headroom :bashhead:

besides i need to make space for another seedrun i started in the meanwhile. this is a cross of DucksFoot and some other strain, cannot remember now, and these 2 fellows sit in the rabbit pit, which is a temporary cab i use from time to time (ca. 80 W CFL). i didn't track their age precisely but they're between 15 to 20 days old:

so this means that monster-bud is coming down soon and i cannot wait to see it trimmed :]
but it has a fan blowing at it all the time, still it is very close to the bulb... i am thinking of a CoolTube to keep things under better control.

thanks for all comments and words of encouragement! peace folks :smoke:

Did you land the duckfoot dominant pheno? Doesn't really look like it in the photo.

I think a cool tube would do wonders for you man. Can't wait to see it trimmed and dried.

thx, kiwi :)

as you see in the pic, it looks just like regular cannabis so the DF trait remains hidden because this is a cross of DF and other dominant strain(s) - i will let you know which one later on.

still, their first set of leaves was definitely DF so i know the genes are there. i received a batch of mixed seeds, some of which should be pure DF. i will run them batch after batch until i find it ;)

the CoolTube is one of the solutions i am considering. maybe the best one but i am still looking into more options (pc fan to suck air out of the current hood). good thing about CoolTube is that it comes with a new professional hood and would be handy as my current hood doesn't reach everywhere with optimal intensity.
stuff to think about :)

ok, decided to chop only the monster-bud.
the plants are not fully mature as pointed out by one of my fellows in the national thread.
and you can clearly admit it by looking at the pics.

at least there is more space in the warren now ;)

my other fellow claims the Hot Mix girls are only halfway into bloom!

what do you folks reckon?

K

kiwi_growa

I'd say just past half way. So hard to tell without a microscope/magnifying glass.

So how is the monster bud looking now that it has had a couple days to dry?? I bet it was really sticky when you were trimming it. Would love to hear a smoke report after the cure process.
