its not what i call a problem hammer just saying she grows alot thicker and fuller under more light. i have to use t5's also. it is what it is. stronger plant in veg equals a lot better yield.

I used the 600 to veg with it did not make them grow any faster. I did not notice any improvement from the switch.. I have not had any unhealthy plants for day 1. I put the 600 back in the flower room and bought another 8 bulb unit. So im using more watts now then the 600mh..

the 2 t5 put out 850w. I like it thats all that matters :) 425w per side.. Even if it takes longer I wont veg with HID. makes the room 2x hotter, cost more to run... I can't cool that area its outside in the screenroom. I can only use fans plus im pushing that 20a circuit. thats all there is out there..

I really wanna upgrade to a 1000 for flower and just use the 600 for veg.. 4 bank could still be for solo cup age.... Or 3 600s, but that's drifting

there you go. more watts, she loves light, now if you veg them to 5ft like i do you would see what im talking about. t5's work fine up till the plants get 3 ft tall but when they get tall a lot of the lower branches are light starved. look at uncs veg pic's . stronger branching .

I started with 3 600. I really like the 600 more than the 1k's. Some strains I would get the same yield 600/1k.. Other strains I could tell a big diferance. those days are gone. I couldn't produce enough with only 3 600's.. I still love them. In Oregon thats all we used. ea room had 5 600 bulbs.

This plant vegged with 16 bulbs t5. 38" tall. I put her in flower that day. Its not GG this is my BHOG..I have not seen enough of a improvment to justiy the added cost to run HID in veg. Im not saying that it doesnt work. for me its not prcticial. I cant afford to do that. Plus I get plants like this with t5

ok that pic is very helpful.... anyone got a pic handy of clear leaf shots around the size u wanna upcan outta a solo?

i kno i can go combing but hell we dont mind pics do we? ..... just if anyone has one handy...
i see the stems/branching arent the most strong or robust early... good to kno, i see she hardens up well but early looks thin... does that sound right fellas?
my cuts literally grow under the dome while they finish rooting,i end up with pre super cropped clones...once they get their feet under them, give them root space,i go to a one gallon and within a week they are ready for a 2 gallon,a week later the next size...

one word...silica blast

bro i am noticing the same thing. bigger more dense buds. and a definite weight increase ;)
i thought you might like it...

yep dank she has viney braches . thin and weak looking, i have found she likes room to root. if i leave them in solo cups they just dont look right or good. as soon as i put them in 1 gl pots they take off and thicken up.

what she really likes in veg is strong light. metal halide or hps, t5,s work but she will stay weaker looking. if you look at the ones grown in sunshine they look like a totally different cut . im sure phill can say a few words as well as unc and the rest of the crew.

yup,you cant get this under a rack of t5's...1000w halide for the win![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]

The next batch of GG. These have a long way to go before there ready to flower. 8 that are rooting. They have roots but need to establish a good root mass in the cup. then they get transplanted into a 1g pot. It will be 60+ days before these get flowered. I have 12 here 6 more in the cloner

wow josey im glad to hear u say viney growth.... man the entire time im lookin at my lil glue picturing uncs nice study stems in those damn pics!(burned into my retinas btw dude lol).... just had me thinkin with a paired leaf twist and lil slow growth i had something else...

now i have her back to square one.... and now with like 5 heads in a solo stead of 2;) im ready to upcan to a one gal... only this time ima be sure that its a happy medium....

as far as the light stuff i find plants more or less to be stain specific when it comes to whats best for optimal... i think that a variety is a good and i rotate plants between 3 veg areas.... usually ill bush out and get my frame under a t5... this isnt to get height rather my structure...
then once i have tops the way i want i stick em under a mh 400w... at this point the go ape and i usually focus on rhizo at this point...
over the next few weeks i have a checklist of thing that need to be done or happen before flipping...

but point is variety.... i even use a 150 hps to get some red.... (just what i got avail....tbh ...lol)

ive been on general organics steady for two years now.... guys the key for these nutes is to get good airstones and get a rolling head w lots of smaller bubbles rather than a piece that sends few big bubbles instead.... if that makes sense.... ive always seen a big improvement there;)

I have never tried to go larger then that. 38" before flower is a big girl..there where no signs that I had to stop. I could have gone to 50" if I wanted to. Dont be suprised if you see me with a 50" plant under t5.;)

I will think about changing things up after I see what your talkin about.. Uncs plants look outstanding. Dees he do that I dont think so.. we all know what works for me might not work for you. I try to keep it as simple as possable. If things get to complicated I will just go back to PBP(still using it).. If you can post pics of plants that have it and some that dont to show the diferance.

around mid august, but different strains will start flowering at slightly different times, so they could start anywhere from a week into august to end of august.
edit: the days already started getting slightly shorter, longest day of the year is june 21st then its all downhill.
