hooray! :woohoo:

nice drying box, too. curious how much time you need to get them dry in that wind tunnnel? do you control humidity at any point?

as for the plants - they look like willing to reveg. what is your plan?

Thanks for dropping by nkots and fifth.

The drying box usually take 5 to 7 days depending on ambient humidity. I have the two computer fans set up in a pusher/puller config and they are throttled down to appx 30% power. Not so much wind tunnel as constant steady air flow. You dont want to dry them too fast. Once dry they get the stems removed and a dry weight taken. Then its into the jars for burping and a humidity check. I shoot for about 65% RH In the jars. Usually takes about a week of checking and adjusting to get it right and then its hurry up and wait for a proper cure.

Next round you will see the three small clones I have been growing in the bonsai mom cab installed and a wall to wall screen much lower. I'm setting my sights on a gram per watt. I'd like to pull 250+ grams from the armoire. That would be ample production at a minimum of time invested.

Dry weights are in. I pulled 104.9 grams from the two plants under the 250W HPS. I'm not disappointed, but i KNOW there is at least another 3 ounces locked up in there. I'm going to try a lower screen and another plant to try and hedge my bets. It could have been less airy as well. Im positive the airyness is from stalk overcrowding. and that is easiest enough to fix!

Damn Hazy, gram a watt would be something wouldn't it? It's great you know what you want to do to achieve a higher yield in the same space. Can't wait to follow your next run. :tiphat:

If you all thought i was resting after the harvest and being lazy... you would of been dead wrong.

The three clones were transferred into the cab. They are bitching i bit. i suspect they were horribly root bound from being in small pots for 2 or so months. They have actually started to green up. they were looking really sad a few days ago!

As you see i installed a wall to wall screen in an attempt to maximize the light usage. The screen is from two HVAC filters from home cheepo. The screen is attached to the box with 3m stick on picture hangers.

I also revamped the carbon filter. it was torn down, new panty hose added and a 100% fresh carbon fill up. It also received a prefilter that was made from the HVAC filter material that i pirated for the scrog screen....

And finally the bonsai mom. She got a hair cut recently to keep her short.

Three Double gums in Veg.

Three Double gums in Veg.

I'm thinking that flower will start on august 1st. Things are greening up nicely and they are exploding. I'll continue to train them and trim the lower crap once the screen is full and even.

Here they are trying their damnedest to fill the screen and make a bee line to the light.

Day 1 Flower

Day 1 Flower

picture.php

As you can see from above, we are on day 1 of flower. The timer is set for day time operation only. 6 hours off, 3 mins on works out to two feeds a day. This timing was working last time. I'm not fucking with it!

The screen is filling out nicely, the overall temp inside has dropped due to the carbon scrubber overhaul. holding about 78*F in the cab! The plants are loving the scrog. i I trimmed under the screen taking off every sucker i could. I might have waited a little too long to flip them, but hell lets give it a go. i wanted to make sure the three girls made a full recovery from the small pots!

Looks great!

Two points:
If this is a rectangle wouldn't the space be better illuminated with the bulb rotated 90 degrees?

Do the leds on the sentinel interfere with the photoperiod?

:rasta:

edit: went back and read the thread and it looks like this is the only way the cooltube will fit. Also noticed a piece of duct tape over the sentinel.

Carry on! :joint:

Many thanks to all who have stopped in and are watching.

I may have waited too long to flip. They are blowing up as we speak. If they do make a rush for the light I plan to tie them down under the screen to preserve precious head room. As you can all see it is indeed possible to root bound coco plants with enough time. The good news is that transplanting them works wonders and health improves rapidly.

In other news i am now boycotting any rubbermaid product for reservoir use. This is the second time I've had a rubbermaid crack and start flooding my op. For the time being, I cobbed together two hydro buckets from the rdwc system to act as a 10 gallon res. I'm trying to find a suitable replacement that can be moved with water inside without stress fractures forming. Hell who knows maybe ill just leave the hydro buckets I'm there permanently!

Keep em green
