SSSDH s1 and SSHxSSSDH test grow

Seeds arrived Monday. Soaked 24hr, damp paper towel another 24. 100% germination in 2 days (12 out of 12 beans). Transplanted into MJR/coco mix with minimal organic base. Under T5.

1 SSHxSSSDH seed root tip dug its way into paper towel and may have lost root tip during transfer, I was super stoned, my fault (smoking the SSSDH will do that too you).

Anyways, waiting for them to emerge....

Planning on running these side by side with my Candelicious keeper and SSSDH keeper for direct comparisons. That's prett exciting cause that's a ton of SSSDH or variants to go through. The fall with be a very hazey time I reckon. Batten down the hatches.

first!

damn these gonna be done flowering by fall?

what height you plan on flipping them at?

since you already run sssdh how does she stretch? and yield?

Thanks for following bro. I'm gonna get these to 12 inches and clone off. Then depending on when my room is ready to refill, these go in. I have a few 12-16 week Oltimer hazes I'm waiting on in my room, which is at 9 weeks.

So, if the timing is right , I may put the seedlings in right after I top to clone or ill keep the seedlings as moms and flower clones and top them at 12 inches.

I'm height restricted in my room so I top everything or trellis (for viney hazes). Topping at 12 inches usually gets me 4-5 footers

Late fall in November ill have flower for tests I reckon if all goes smooth, barring laziness or over smoking.

My current SSSDH keeper stretches 400-500% and grows dense large buds. Very SSH leaning. I reckon I got close to 2oz off my first go with this one, and that was during a huge seed run I did, so it wasnt dialed. Really, all of them produce, this one just had best bud structure.

My Candelicious is just finishing, a 10 weeker. This keeper makes everlasting gobstopper looking buds with a sweet lemon candy smell. My other potential seems to take longer, but may turn out to be the one. Smoke test will sort them out....

nice looking bud....

Thanks for the info on the sssdh... I guess top if my get on 1 1/2 - 2 ft.......

seem like we gonna be puffing on some haze at the same time.........

plus we both running the same strains :D you'll defintely see me alot in this thread....... you can always stop by mine if you want ;)

3 of 12 emerged as of 40 hours post soak. Just a small note, I scar my seeds prior to soaking. I rub them slightly against a fine file or Emory board, just enough to scrap the shell so water can penetrate faster.

looking good, ya man these SSH seeds were the hardest seeds I have ever encountered. Never have i seen a shell so tuff. GL

One of the SSSDH s1s showing a trippy triple cotyledon phenotype. First for me..... Wonders of genetics.

hey dr bhaze

nice germ rates

that could be a mutant you get them ocasionaly with fem seeds

look forward to the show from a true haze head like me
the ssh x will be special for sure

peace

That's what I figured, no biggie. So far they are all going strong.

I'm a bit anxious about both of these cause I suspect some pretty crazy haze will come out.

Oh yeah, I'm trying to make it over the pond to the Dam at some point this year. Love to chop it up with ya and see if we can smoke all the herb in the city in one night ;).

Shawarmas and heinekens on me!

Update: SSHxSSSDH looking great, vigorous. SSSDH s1 a bit slower. Killed the the triple cot baby, growth arrested. 2 others moving really slow as well.

Cloned off 5 of 6 SSHx. Now those and the 4 SSSDH s1 seedlings are in 3 gal bags. Bout to flip to 12. S1s in front, SSHx in middle, a few SSSDH reg in the back.

Looking good dr bh,
looks like i'll be a couple of weeks behind you with the ssh's,will be checkin in on progress.

good luck with the rest of the grow!

Thanks bro. 1 of the SSHx didn't clone well, so the original went in, gonna have a big bush. The SSSDHs1s I didn't clone either, so they will go bush mode too. So 6 SSHx and 4 SSSDHs1. I also have 3 SSSDH regs and 2 Candelicious going. It a CSG party!!!

Anyways, just flipped to 12. Bushes at 14 inches, all topped, clones at 10 inches, topped as well. It's gonna be a forest.

1000w MH for first 3-4 weeks with healthy doses of CalMag and amino acids to minimize stretch and fatten up stalks.

Stay tuned.

Update: almost done week 1 of 12/12 @1000w metal halide.. Light grow feed (mineral based @less than 400ppm) this week with additional CalMag and Amino aide, PH of solution around 6.3 Got their first dose of Tricantanol and beneficials (great white and gnatrol). Getting sprayed daily with my organic secret weapon for minmizing stretch and driving the flower response. Temps 76-79, CO2 @1100 ppm, humidity 60-70%. These are in my medium strength organic ammended MJR and Coco mix. I flipped when bushes were 18 inches and clones were 12 inches or so. I have 3 SSSDH from reg seed and 2 Candelicious Amnesia lean going as well to compare too.

For long flowering haze, I usually switch the MH bulb to HPS around week 5. This helps reduce stretch during the "bolt/veg" period after going to 12/12. HPS can induce massive stretch during this time from what I have read and experienced.

SSHx showing hybrid vigor. Cloned ones have hug fan leaves and extra thick stalks, all have been topped and starting to branch out. Showing a lighter green but darkening up, all look similar so far. Bush (SSHx #6 I didn't get a clone of) is looking green with many top shoots. Lots of nice dark fan leaves.

I am curious what PH others are running....

SSSDH s1 are topped multiple times and bushing out nice. #6 has dark red leaf stem coloring, the others are all green. It also so has fan leaves similar to OJDs cut. Others are close, but not as remarkable. All growing well. These were original seedlings, not clone offs.

Gonna try and clone off theo es I don't have copies off soon.

More to come......
